A nice dilemma for TC with Cibicki looking useful too.

On recent form could make a case for Saiz, but he is capable of doing nothing all game then doing something, like the other week.
Saiz & Hernandez are on the same wavelength & click together extremely well.

Samu's game has not been the same without Pablo

Agreed :-D

Think it may be worth uniting the three musketeers, let Ali get back to his best position and play Cibicki in his favorite role?

The finish was out of the top draw and were it scored by Messi vs Madrid today then the media would be creaming themselves.

The calmness, confidence and technique was as good as anyone in this league.

And after the final whistle he went straight to the fans to give his shirt away and allow pictures

Stays number 10 imo.

Saiz can go left.

Hernandez oozes class.

Play them both, they are on the same wavelength & are much higher quality than Alioski & Cibicki are!

Saiz's form had dropped.

He deserved to be dropped or be excused because he was "injured".

Thought a golden rule in football was never change a winning side? :)

Edit and Hernandez has to stay number 10 . . . . Him threading balls through for Saiz on the left and Ali on his favourite side.

Those two victories have been hard work

Saiz is the only player who can take us from box to box in quick-time, he's a defenders nightmare to mark. Exciting & he is always a threat where as there was no threat v Hull & only a couple yesterday, both opportunities taken exceptionally well I have to say !

Don't think Hernandez is as good on the left as he is through the middle. If we play two wingers then It's Phillips that gets dropped imo.

Vierra

Cibicki - Saiz - Hernandez - Alioski

or more defensive

Vierra - Phillips

Alioski - Saiz - Hernandez

where we play without width on one side

Big fan of Saiz . . . . But he needs to be less greedy and he is fortune to have the man in the title to learn from.

I recognise his failings, at times of late Saiz has frustrated the life out of me but he gives us pace down the middle & space for others to strut their stuff if only he looks up & see the options around him!

He needs a new contract.

For a good few games he has shone when others haven't.

Different player to Saiz but his creativity is a class above anyone's else we have.

Different players, Saiz is more exciting with his dribbling and stuff which fans love.

But Pablo is beautiful to watch, his vision and calmness is lovely

Phil Hay thinks we will open contract talks with Pablo after the window.

Hope they offer him a coaching role plus finance his badges.

He's a keeper long after he retires imo

Agree mate, I actually think Pablo is the better player of the two, I would imagine most would disagree but I think Pablo offers a lot more vision than Saiz he sees the opportunities quicker than Saiz does, loses the ball less and his final pass is usually better than Saiz's. Of course Saiz is more mobile naturally meaning he finds it much easier to take on defenders with the ball.

Both are brilliant players and can most definitely play together in the same team which is a huge luxury for Christiansen , Pablo has very much being carrying us for months now (3 goals and 3 assists since the Boro game) also missed a couple of games in December because of an injury. In fact Pablo has either scored or assisted 6 of our last 12 goals in the league :o

Fantastic impact he made, peach of a cross, and all round the impact his presence had on his teammates was immense.

Only small issue is his tendency to go walkies whenever he is played on the left, its to be expected but my god it puts pressure on the left back.

Overall though, the class of Pablo shone through today, technically a class above this league.

He needs a new contract.

He is a star, could easily play at a higher level, La Liga he would still absolutely thrive.
