Very much “oh dear” - glad I didn’t stay up to watch it now.

Oh dear we've blown again

Feeble batting, only Root, Bairstow & Moheen show any form in the 2nd innings

Cook needs to wake up to the fact we are playing in the Ashes

Drop Woakes or Ball for the next test and bring in Overton. I'd have played him in this match.
He's quick, but also a nasty, aggressive bowler. I don't particularly like him, but he's what we need.

Went to bed at about 2am with England at something like 107 - 4. Fully expected to wake up to a bating collapse and the Aussies either having finished the job or nearly there. Seemed inevitable.

Ball for me not been up to pace. Suggestions Jimmy not fully fit yesterday as well, not heard any more on that yet.

The ASHES is a fixed match. The same two teams make through to the finals every year. A bit like the Boatrace.
Scottish Steel and Irish Fire that's the weapon I desire.

Could be a painful series to watch now, soft underbelly in the batting and a lack of out and out pace in the attack. We're missing Stokes on both fronts.

The aussies are pathetic cheats as far as I'm concerned. They've always been the same. Using the Bairstow alleged headbut that wasn't to shake England up. They can't win just by playing cricket....they're always up to it. Their gutter press are no better! ( mind you, if we could find some 'dirt' on one or two of their players I'd be up for winding them up  )

A great innings from the Australians with Marsh getting his ton. Was Root right to field first? We have to bat sensibly tomorrow to stay in all day....if not the second test could well be over for us.

I think I'll just lock this thread so we can all forget about it and move on with our lives...

Well we all know that the dry, hard, sun scorched wicket in Australia is a bit difficult for the damp English cricketers to get to terms with, whereas the criminals Ausies grew up playing on it, so always have and advantage...
 Bugger... got heartburn again :) ...

168 for 3

Then a total collapse as England lose 7 wickets for 55 runs

FEEBLE !

Come home now as we are an embarrassment
