Comparative Depth

Postby Cjay » Sun Dec 03, 2017 2:50 pm

Of our Championship promotion rivals.

Top scorer or best attacker and best defender are unavailable, so who are the direct replacements.

Leeds-Samu Saiz/Pontus Jansson=Kemar Roofe, Matty Pennington.

Boro- Britt Assombalonga/Ben Gibson=Patrick Bamford, Ryan Shotton.

Aston Villa-Jonathan Kodjia/ John Terry=Scott Hogan,Chris Samba.

Wolves-Leo Bonatini/ Willy Boly=Bright Enobakhare, Danny Batth.

Derby-Mateja Vydra/ Curtis Davies=Chris Martin, Jason Shackell.

Cardiff- Kenneth Zohore/Sean Morrison=Danny Ward,Rolf Feltscher.

Sheff Utd- Leon Clarke/Richard Stearman=Billy Sharp, Jake Wright.

Sheffield Weds- Gary Hooper/Tom Lees=Fernando Forestieri, Glenn Loovens.

Bristol City- Bobby Reid/ Aden Flint=Famara Diedhiou, Zak Vyner.

So Boro, Derby, Sheffield Weds, Cardiff, Wolves and Villa have better direct replacements, pans out that depth wise we finish 7th.

Also worth noting :

Costa came off the Wolves bench & scored against us

As did Barrow for Reading

Brooks also scored against us within five minutes of coming on for the Blunts

Winnall scored both goals against us who is not on your list

Where are our impact subs?

All not good enough or too inexperienced at this level

Now Lasogga has gone missing we haven't got a recognised goal-scoring striker

How poor is that ?

Thought it was a thread about Fabian's younger brother.

We could have a couple of impact subs... If TC ever played them...
Anita in his natural position
Klitch

and I hesitate to mention our best striker who is not playing for us this season... Antonsson...
 A Ditto a day STILL keeps Leon at bay...

Our second half stats show we lack depth.

Once the key players have done there bit first half, they are knackered and thats where quality options come in.

We have none.
