Pawel Cibicki

Post by Cjay »

Is todays player (he didnt have a thread).

Highly rated in his homeland, the links to "bigger clubs" generated a bit of excitement upon arrival.

Has been the invisible man until today.

Early days of course.

But.

Where do people stand on Pawel Cibicki?

Thought he was superb, some lovely touches and intelligent passing.

The cross was brilliant and most impressive was his workrate, he ran his butt off, tracking back (as you have to if Ayling is on your side). He won quite a few headers, decent pace, was a threat.

Very impressed.

Deserve more chances.

did really well today, looked more up to the pace of the Championship today, looks to have a fair bit of quality and good work rate.

Yep. Looked really good in the second half. Lively, skillful, strong and hard working. Great cross for Roofe's 2nd as well.

Impressive stats Rab

The lad did well & I thought we had no game-changers on our bench

That cross for Roofe's 2nd goal was an absolute beauty :-D

Now if that had been Sacko we would still be waiting for the cross to come in.
If the forwards are steaming in at pace then you want that ball whipped in with
no hesitation. If there is any dithering going on on the wings then the momentum
breaks down since the attackers in the box are waiting for the delivery and the defence
has a better chance of clearing, but with Pawel and Alioski as well, there was no shilly shallying
about... the ball was coming in like a rocket and if anybody gets on the end of it
then it is a goal. It is all over in the blink of an eye and the opposition are left scratching their heads
More of the same,

Cibicki's cross is a defenders nightmare to defend

Another fantastic game.

Theres a touch of the Hernandez about him, really intelligent player and a superb delivery.

And he works hard and wins headers.

Initial impressions of him were that he had a bit of skill about him but looked incredibly lightweight - presumably in the last couple of months they have worked with him to prepare him more for the physical side of things.

Not as impressive today, maybe a bit of fatigue since he hasnt had much game time till recently.

Bound to have off days, today was one, he will learn and move on.
