Yosuke Ideguchi

Post by Cjay »

Is close to signing according to Phil Hay and others.

Deal worth about £500k, completion official in January but because of regulations, he wont qualify for a work permit and will have to be loaned out.

Midfielder, 21, Japan international.

highly rated and expected to be one of the breakout stars of the World Cup.

Scout report from some dude online (no clue if he knows what hes talking about) http://www.tom-billen.com/?p=629

Not sure I can get excited for someone who may not be able to play for us anytime soon

1. He was born on August 23, 1996 in Fukuoka, a city located on the northern shore of the Japanese island of Kyushu.

2. He has made eight international appearances for Japan scoring two goals. (so expect him in the Panini 2018 World Cup sticker book!)

3. He scored a cracker against Australia in a World Cup qualifier

4. He started his youth career in 2008 with Aburayama Kameriazu.

5. As a central midfielder he wears the number 8 shirt for his current side Gamba Osaka who play in Japan's top flight.
The team's name Gamba comes from the Italian word "gamba" meaning "leg" and the Japanese ganbaru (頑張る), meaning "to do your best" or "to stand firm".

He joined them with the two current Japan midfielders already there. To get regular football with them two there, shows some promise. Specially when he's only twenty-one.
At only half a million, my jock genes are telling me this is a no lose situation.

Reports yesterday introduced by Phil Hay from the top TV presenter for the J League (A Brit) he says our new player is the only Japanese player with a mean streak. He's more European than Japanese in the way he dominates midfield and gets a tackle in. Commanding like a good defensive midfielder but also incisive passing to create going forward? If that's true its actually what we are missing now
