Well apart from Weasel & I.......no surprise you didn't get a response Hectorhector wrote:Keeping with the title of the thread but changing the subject matter a bit.
Do you think it is time we had a sort out of mods on here?
A lot don't turn up, and excuse me for being a bit forthright here, but shouldn't mods be here just as much if not more than us mere plebs?
perhaps some of the redundant mods (most of them) should hand in the mantle and more of the regular users get the job..
Just a thought.
Re: Anyone moderating this site ??
I agree, perhaps in the new year Adam can do something about this?
I will start a poll off so that the votes are anonnymous and we can see what the plebery of the forum think about replacing the "missing" mods

Also as they do with committee members you may want to poll whether the majority wish to retain Weasel & myself as the current modshector wrote:I agree, perhaps in the new year Adam can do something about this?

Nah... no need for that, you two will do....
You both regularly contribute and are present... My bone of contention is that the other mods are never here, and so the position is wasted on the absent..
to be fair, this site seems to need a lot less moderation than a lot of forums, but still the roles are wasted on the absent.

Re: Anyone moderating this site ??
Do we actually need any more mods? With Adam as Admin, and Leon and Weasel as mods, aren't we covered? I'm basing this on the fact that the footfall through the forum has shrunk and, perhaps because of that, there's a more harmonious feel to the place than there was when I first joined and we had lots of 'strident' posters! Just a thought

And wasn't that ever the point of this site? Never always been on topic, as much about the non-Leeds United threads as about the Leeds United threads. Liggs threads do not always appeal to me, but they are a bit of fun for some people, I dont see anthing that requires 'moderation' though.weasel wrote:Not seen anything untoward - stuff that may not be to people's taste etc but nothing overly offensive etc

I beleive Weasel and yourself do a grand job raising anthing that is required, I just dont think there is a lot to raise these days.1964white wrote:Also as they do with committee members you may want to poll whether the majority wish to retain Weasel & myself as the current mods
Re: Anyone moderating this site ??
Got to say I joined this forum as it always seemed that bit nicer, informative with the odd twist which I liked, if I want a fight or a screaming match I can get that at home (joking) or go on WACCOE but the odd thread that isn’t football related or not totally PC IMO makes MOT what it is and why I keep coming back

Re: Anyone moderating this site ??
Been meaning to reply to this for several days now! Sorry! I think this probably proves the point though.. I just don't get round to reading MOT regularly anymore, and less so contributing. Life moves on I guess.
I'm fairly sure I've offered to give up my moderator status before due to this and it was declined - but if that decision came up for dispute again I'm more than happy to step down.
Agree with the point about needing mods though - always been one of the best things about MOT, the lack of required moderation.

Liggy overstepped the mark today with comments on a couple of threads and a new thread with political overtones and language I don't particularly want to see on MOT. He's taking a break for a while.faaip wrote:At last?
