Re: Current moderators
I think we've all said that if people don't want us in the job that we'll happily step down...

Re: Current moderators
I think the results of the poll indicate that is the case then.

Re: Current moderators
So who needs to do what to move us forward?
I've no wish to boot anyone out, I actually like our 3 non-winners, but if we're going to have change please let's progress.
Adam, as our site Admin, I assume you make the next move?

Re: Current moderators
I would suggest that if anyone wants to stand they do so otherwise we keep the current moderators. If we maybe say a closing date as end of Feb and then we have a vote with the 3 current lowest placed moderators and all new applicants and then forma new moderator group.

Re: Current moderators
It’s fair to say that the subject of moderation has not really been an issue for a couple of years until the last few weeks. What has become clear is that MOT does not need a lot of moderators but it does need a team of moderators who are around regularly to spot any issues which may arise.
The forum is ultimately for its members and as such I am happy for the members to have a say in who should be moderators. The results of the recent poll are fairly clear but I don’t think anyone has any issue with Meeta, Dan or Anna or the way they have moderated in the past. It’s just a matter of the time they can commit to moderating the site. I know as well as anyone how life gets in the way of the site and people situations change.
I would suggest that if any of the existing moderators wish to step down they let me know via PM. If anyone wishes to stand for election as a moderator they me know by PM. Or if anyone wishes to nominate anyone as a moderator they let me know by PM.

Re: Current moderators
My view is that I think we should have a female moderator in the mix and Anna should remain unless she doesn't want to.
I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.
Re: Current moderators
I think we need an IMmoderator but I'll be quiet.
Re: Current moderators
How about you standing young lady if you wish for a female to be on the board ?becchio bear wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2018 5:59 pm My view is that I think we should have a female moderator in the mix and Anna should remain unless she doesn't want to.
I have no problems with Anna remaining too but she has already mentioned the demands in her day to day life doesn't give her much time to commit to her moderating role on MOT
Re: Current moderators
Difficult choices....I could nominate several members but have narrowed it down to three my preferred nominees which I have pm'd to Adam

Re: Current moderators
I could I suppose. I also think we do need someone in a different time zone to the UK. I can't remember why Harry gave up his moderating role!!

Re: Current moderators
I think you would make a great Immoderator BB
Re: Current moderators
...and Harry, as far as I know, isn't female! (Oh I DO miss Mr. Green)

Go for it young lady
Re: Current moderators
Think site runs well with current mods
I realised I was dyslexic when I went to a toga party dressed as a goat..
Re: Current moderators
We sometimes need change dezzy, otherwise everything gets too saccharine.
Effectively we're trying to replace 3 with 1, which isn't unreasonable given our lack of knock down drag ups.

Re: Current moderators
I've pm'd my single choice to Adam.
Re: Current moderators
Personally I have no issues with the site, users, or moderators as it is, however have pm'd my two penn'orth to Adam.
