A tidy player in the Batty mould. His pass success ratio should always be high because the majority of his passes are the safe type to a team mate in space rather than trying a through ball. I would imagine that Saiz and Hernandez's pass success rate would be a lot lower as they are continually trying to unlock a defence with a pass rather than simply keeping possession. Forshaw though is needed in this team as you need players like him to keep the ball and keep it moving back and forth with 1-2s to create the space for players like Hernandez and Saiz to be able to create the damage.

Looks to be another decent signing made by that naughty Mr Orta.

Wonder how TC would have done if he was still here and had a ball playing midfielder which his style clearly needs, plus 2 natural full backs and Lassie on form. Plus Ekuban and Saiz back. . . . .

Good player Forshaw, just a shame we will bypass him and "lump it towards Lasogga" like in the 1st half.

Until Klich shows he can do it in the championship it is impossible to know if he could do a job for us. Grot and Botaka were both regulars (Grot in the top league and Botaka a division below) in dutch football so I think it would be fair to say the standard isn't great.

Agree on that, the Klich situation was baffling and still is.

But never got a chance to use Forshaw with Saiz and co.

Also fair to say that its to early to write Grot off. As pointed out JFH was worse in the league below at the same age.

Not writing Grot or Klich off but both need to show they can do it in the championship. Hopefully both can.

Good again.

Yet to have a poor game.

Calm and composed.

Just wish he'd get forward more

Happy to see him not get forward especially if we can get Hernandez and Saiz int he same starting XI. Get the ball keep possession and then get it to those 2 in space rather than just lumping it towards them.

Best game for us from what i saw.

Passed the ball well, got forward, rarely gae the ball away and deserved his assist.

Now if only we could get Vieira back fit and on form.

Yes it would be good if RV got back to form so that PH could bring him on at half time. I wonder how many changes he'd have made at half time v Reading if we hadn't nicked an equaliser just before half time.

Interesting that PH today revealed that Adam Forshaw, like Tyler Roberts was signed with a pre-existing injury. Another TC myth debunked now over why he said that Forshaw and Roberts were injured which is why he didn't play the new signings straightaway.

Interesting stats

Forshaw has made eight starts for United and featured just once from the bench tallying up 765 minutes of action since his arrival.

He averages a pass completion rate of 85.7%, which is the highest of any other player in his position, and completes on average 49.9 successful passes a match compared to Phillips (30.2), Vieira (35.2) and O'Kane (41.6).

The former Boro man also boasts the highest amount of completed tackles (3.4) on average and successful aerial duels won (2.8) of his peers.

Going forward Forshaw is also top of the charts in averaging the highest amount of key passes per game completing 1.2 compared to Phillips (0.6), Vieira (0.4) and O'Kane (0.5) who aren't as productive.

O'Kane commits the least amount of fouls (0.8) per game of the four with Vieira (1.5) committing the most. Forshaw, again, sits top of the table in successful dribbles per match completing 2.4 on average ahead of Phillips (1.6), Vieira (1.1), O'Kane (1.3).

Interesting stats, of course we have never won a game with Forshaw playing though.

I haven`t been impressed by Forshaw so far. Takes often way too long until he`s controlled the ball and decided what to do with it. The reason why so often opponents have had time to close him down from behind and take the ball off him. But early days I guess...

Speculation yesterday that he was wearing a cast on his leg.

Alan Nixon tweeted that Forshaw is injured and ots a bad one.

Unless Nixon wants to lose what credibility he has then this must be true.

Adam Pope suggesting that Forshaw's injury is a damaged toe, but not thought to be serious.
