Not keen on it. You can understand the sentiment, which is I am guessing what the 10,000 people were asked about, but the design is poor. For me the Leeds salute is something almost secret between Leeds fans, a way of identifying yourself to another Leeds fan without wearing the shirt etc, something only a real fan would know - almost the equivalent of a Mason's secret handshake. To have the salute on the badge is simply wrong.

Why a player should react as being `shocked` is beyond me.
I find it kind of typical for Leeds (United) Always expect the unexpected (if the unexpected
is bad.)
Don`t care too much either way. More important what happens on the field.
But if most fans find it appaling then maybe better to try again, what
about this: :poo: ...lol

That's what I thought, fine as sort of an official unofficial badge for supporters t-shirts, polo shirts etc - quite like that idea actually, but should be nowhere near actual kit or other such.

Why didn`t they (whoever that is) come forward with 3 or 4 proposals and then let the fans decide?
If it is all about the fans that would be the logical way to go about it. They consulted 10`000 fans, yeah?
Which and how?

The club have learnt nothing from recent football rebrands. We submitted a thought piece on this back in October. Please retweet. #bringbackthesmiley

Petition is 23k and climbing.

Media are reporting it, Gary Linekar has his ear to the ground, he has listened to the reaction, he has heard the opinion of the Leeds fans and he has got involved. Henry Winter has chipped in

Ex players are joining in, Pontus has clearly given his view.

Opposition fans are having a real good laugh on there forums.

One question, if we were in good form and had had a good transfer window, would there be soo much anger from us? :duno:

Talking about it now on talksport , saying how dreadful it is
Get on it asking for Leeds fans to call up about it and they are
Had a representative from the club defending it
Come on lads a club like Leeds cant be letting that happen, its mickey mouse and nought representing the club
Soon ala cardiff Hull they will be next starting on the Kit colors
Dont care what anybody says Leeds is a proper club with a top history, keep your history
Out of interest how old is the present badge ? well the one just been "improved"
No Rose
Get a petition up oh just said as i typed this there is one ha, aptly thousands already signed. info Adrian Durham

Horrible. It looks like the outline of a comic book superhero.
I've also never particularly liked the current one that just says LUFC.
I always liked the old one that had the rose, the football and the name Leeds United on it. That says it all, "Yorkshire, Football and Leeds United".

Guessing the 10000 fans asked were Man Utd fans .

The up side to all this is , Everton apparently had a similar issue in 2013 and due to uproar by their fans the decision was reversed . This can be the only answer really , this much uproar and reaction the management can only do the decent thing and stop this design ( and shoot the 10000 idiots ) . Do they really think this is suitable to a football club , its more political vision IMO . Won't be buying any shirts with this design badge .
