Leeds v Bristol City - Team/News/Reports/Ratings....Sunday 4.30pm

Post by 1964white »

With 15 games to go until the end of the season, their slender play off hopes will not be helped with the knowledge that in 6th place Bristol City are the latest visitors to Elland Road.

The Robins have not had it all their own way recently having lost at Bolton, and being held against Sunderland having been 3-0 up.

Both sides will be looking to improve on poor recent form with Leeds having won since Boxing Day against Burton Albion and City only winning once in their last ten games across all competitions.

Saiz, Liam Cooper and Berardi all still suspended while Ayling, Shaughnessy & Roberts injured

Surely Hernandez has to return

Heckingbottom does have new options available to him up front

Who will he choose to partner Lasogga?

Ekuban are fit to play

Surely this could spell the end of Roofe ?

Alioski & O'Kane would be very fortunate to retain their place in the First XI

What are the odds of our best defender picking up a yellow card v the Robins & incurring a suspension just as our best attacking midfielder concludes his suspension ?

Cooper & Pennington wouldn't fill me with confidence for our game at Derby

Pennington and Cooper is a horrific thought.

We were in dreadful form and battered them at there place.

No Saiz but Vieira, Alioski and Lasogga were excellent. Really need those 3 if they start to replicate that on Sunday.

Pontus is bound to pick up another yellow soon :booked: hence the return of Captain Chaos :(

Since our team selections are a bit of a joke my team to this week is as follows
I will be fielding a team of four once again that is all we need to beat Bristol
Harold Wilson in goal We make make sure his pipe is fully stoked with Ogden's nut brown
which will ensure that he can form a smokescreen in front of goal to disorientate the opposition.
Ted Heath in defence He's got the nose for it
Neil Kinnock in midfield What is a midfield without a ginger?
Margaret Thatcher in attack Equip Maggie with a union jack handbag and she can be on devastating form
Her handbag backhand is renowned in this league, and extra hairspray to keep her coiffure in place.
A lady must look her best in attack.

Not much to come in with the injuries and suspensions, maybe start Ekuban next to Lassoga if we go 442, the other subs don't really get in on form/ability

IN fairness Vieira was the best player imo last time we played Bristol City (lots of there fans agreed). So on form he is the best midfielder we have. Nop cbs on your bench though Faaip :duno:

Vieira & Saiz

God we've missed Samu big-time as I knew we would, same will happen when Pontus incurs his next yellow card :(

We rely so much on our only two class players

And Lassie and Ali from that game, Samu doesn't score without them :)

IN fairness most clubs rely on a couple of stars, we have Saiz, Jansson, Ali, Vieira and Lassie. 8-)

Take Boly and Jota out of Wolves, take Terry and Snoddy out of Villa, Take Hoilett and Bamba out of Cardiff, take Reid and Flint out of Bristol City et, nothing new about having a few stars.

If we had five class players in our side we wouldn't be halfway down the league

Pontus & Saiz are class, the rest are either potentially good given time, average or poor
