Bob Wilson injured in the semi....that may have helped, though Sniffers header looked unstoppable

It's the above 13 plus Sprake, Cocker and then Jordan in all probability, he'd been here since 70 whereas I'm not sure Frank had even arrived yet plus he would have been 17

The only other possibility is Nigel Davey is in the somewhere. Reserve left back who'd been at Leeds a while and was cover after we lost Cooper for the season

I suspect you are right Billie as the one bending down looked tall

Was Yorath part of the cup final squad ?

There no sign of Yorath in the pic, you're looking for a 5'10 blonde guy..plus he would have been 20 I think

I'm really enjoying this thread, a heck of a lot more than some of the other threads on our present lot...It's so exciting to be looking a pics of The Great Revie Team....and reading everyones comments. But it shouldn't be like that should it, we should be able to look at the present with pride :(

Done a bit more digging and discovered that Nigel Davey also broke his leg in a reserve match vs WBA on the same day Terry Cooper broke his leg ( didn’t know that ) . Probably not him . There’s also a colour photo of the Leeds Utd cup final squad and there are only 13 players in it ( the twelve plus Sprake ) . Not sure where it leaves us but you mentioned Joe Jordan and maybe it’s him .

Can't really see the others, but choose from Bates, Yorath, Giles
Gandalf is right apart from 2, it's Bates not Lorimer but it is Lorimer and not Frankie Gray..bent over, no idea.

Paul Madeley, an absolute gent.

"In his autobiography, Right Back to the Beginning, Revie's eventual replacement Jimmy Armfield related a telling story about Madeley negotiating a new contract: "He once actually signed a new contract on what was virtually a blank piece of paper. I called him in to discuss terms and opened discussions by saying, 'OK, Paul, we'll give you so much'. He replied that he had no intention of leaving Leeds so he might as well sign the contract and let me fill in the details. I said, 'What do you want, then, two years or three years?' He answered, 'Either way, I'll leave it to you. I just want to play for Leeds,' and that was that".

Wish that kind of loyalty existed in football today......

Typical of the great man

Yes Paul is a real gent, sadly the poor man has suffered with a serious illness for many many years

One of my favourite players & rightly described as a 'Rolls Royce'
