They have to take the gamble and hope it pays off, otherwise it's another Villa.

Swansea rumoured to be closing in on a permanent move for talented Manchester City winger Bersant Celina.

Scored 7 goals on loan for Ipswich last season, City and Ipswich fans speak highly of him, good signing for the Swans if it happens.

Now one wonders if pep rang up his hero and alerted him to the fact he has a good player for perm sale? 3-4 mill and a winger, seems ideal for us if as highly rated as you say CJay?

Would hope our DOF pays attention to us when we play games and doesnt need Pep to tell Bielsa

Like most sports it a manager to manager thing if respect is present. Could be Pep has no idea though who he is and that they're selling him

Harvey Barnes signs for WBA on loan.

Mo Eisa has joined Bristol City.

Tom Ince to Stoke is a done deal.

We are going to get absolutely smashed vs Stoke.

McClean, Bojan, Crouch, Ince, Afobe, Allen, Etebo, vs Jansson, Cooper, Berardi, Phillips, Forshaw, Roofe.

Its not even close.

TiM Krul joins Norwich on a free.

David McGoldrick joins Sheffield United on a free.

Leeds Villa and Sheffield Wednesday are the only Championship sides to have not made a permanent signing.

QPR, Villa and Wednesday have made less overall signings then Leeds, 1,0,0 and 2 for us.

But we know QPR and Wednesday are in a precarious financial state.

As were Villa.

Whats our excuse :duno:

Form wise we were below those 3 sides for all of 2018.

Maybe that is what's required to make Radz & his stooges realise we have a poor squad

Although when things go wrong the Board of Directors & players jobs are safe as the coach/manager always shoulders the blame

If indeed Bielsa is happy with the squad (presumably if he doesnt walk he must be). Then bielsa is every bit as culpable imo.

He should if nothing else be willing to stand up to the Board and tell the truth.

Peterborough's league 1 goal machine Jack Marriott was pulled from Pboros friendly tonight, he was originally starting.

Lots of talk he is on his way to Derby.

And Martyn Waghorn, 16 goals 11 assists for Ipswich last season also reportedly in negotiations with Derby.

But there skint remember, or has there owner played a blinder.

This thread is increasingly like a ticker tape - loads of players moving from one club to another meaning, realistically, nothing. I don't know them, can't be bothered to research them and they are irrelevant to our club and cause.
The one factor nobody knows is - has Marcelo worked wonders on a couple of our players to the extent that we could regard them, damned near, as new signings?
If so, he's succeeded in a venture that was worthwhile. If not, we wait to see what other surprises are in store.

Reading v Derby a snoozefest at the Majdeski. 70% possession for Derby, but they haven't had a shot on goal. Reading slightly better but their finishing is woeful. Mount and Wilson both having mares on their debuts.
