With the new season starting 3 weeks tomorrow time to put your thinking caps on and predict how the season will unfold in terms of where teams will finish (from 1st right down to bottom, 24th) next May.
I'll put something up on the Predictions Forum at the weekend, with entrants needing to complete by midnight 31 July, so that gives a fortnight to give some considered thought and take into account any yet to happen moves in the transfer market, sudden managerial changes or any of the other crisis dramas that seem to be part and parcel of the league these days.
Was thinking -
team in correct finishing position - 5pts
team within one place of finishing position - 2pts
Leeds in correct position - 10pts
5 bonus points for getting any of following correct - team finishing top, team finishing bottom and highest scorers
Happy to take on board (or ignore) other suggestions
Derby sign talented duo Harry Wilson and Mason Mount on loan from Liverpool and Chelsea respectively and are in advanced talks to sign Brentford winger Florian Jozefzoon (we might make a bid).

Ipswich sign Peterborough winger Gwiom Edwards.

And to think we were lead to believe Derby were in financial trouble, didn’t they also get John Terry?

Harry Wilson is a cracking signing
Hull fans rated him highly when on loan to them last season

No they havent, still could though.
What Lampard lacks in experience he makes up for in name, youngsters today coming through will know him as a player, assume that played a part in Wilson and Mount.

I know the 31/07 is before the end of the transfer window Gandi but we (or any other team) could make an absolute top drawer signing near or on deadline day and they get an injury in the first game, ruling them out for the rest of the season. At the end of the day it's all a bit crystal ball gazing and a gut instinct/hunch isn't it.
Callum McManaman has joined Wigan for an undisclosed fee.
Just to cheer us all up some more, Stoke are close to signing James Chester and James McLean to go along with Nigerian international midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo and Benik Afobe, they are also reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Tom Ince.
Mo Eisa, league 2 hotshot on his way to Bristol City.
Derby very keen on Peterborough goal machine Jack Marriott, have had 3 bids rejected so far.
Marcus Maddison rumoured to be possibly on his way to WBA..
Of the 3 only Maddison would annoy me as ive mentioned him many times over the last 12 months as someone we should be buying.
If we had the money for a proven Championship striker and Marriott thatd annoy me to, same as Eisa, as it is we dont so not fussed.

Stoke mean business
Some really good signings there Cjay
Etebo looked really good at the World Cup, Ince is quality at this level, not to fussed about McClean, the gulf in class between there squad and ours is clear (as it would be tbf given they just came down).
May not work out for them.
As it stands though i can see an opening fixture hiding coming our way
