Wednesday fans I know seem reasonably hopeful for Monday. There is talk of their promotion season when Utd were ahead and the Owls beat them to promotion.
New manager, home game and a derby game.....Wendies should be well up for it Sara (hopefully :) )

It's still in our own hands....if we beat The Blunts regardless of what they do on Monday, I think?
6 wins including the Blunts game would take us close

Interesting how Steve Bruce is perceived as a poor manager yet just looking at the record of the 2 clubs he has managed this season shows they were both much better when he was in charge.

Both Sheffield Wednesday and Aston Villa have identical records of 28 matches and just 35 points in the matches without him.

Villa's and Sheff Wed's combined record under Steve Bruce is 17 matches and 27 points. Converted into 34 matches that would see Bruce in 6th place, considerably higher than either team.

Looking forward to the game tonight, Wednesday should be well up for it.
However, I think it will be close but I think United will just nick it, maybe 2-1

I think Bruce will have them well up for this, what a way to get the fans on his side, plus it will put them 4 points off the play offs, which I don't think they'll make but it would give them heart for next season if they get close.

SHEFF Wed will hate doing Leeds a massive favour by winning tonight and I just have a feeling they will.

Surely denting the Blunts promotion hopes is the higher good?

Well, it is time to fess up

My wife is from Sheffield and when we go back to visit the folks I link up with my Sheffield mates who are 100& Owls fans. So we generally end up down Illsborough way for the match.

( though once due to bad planning on my part we ended up at Bramal Lane  )

The above cup was a prezzie from one of my good pals Richie and I will be supping out of it later)

Please dont hurt me

Ps I went lurking in a Blades forum there looking for a stream tonight...

Yep that is what my mate was saying earlier. Then again we play them too.

Owls under Bruce have been a tricky proposition and I think they will dent a few promotion hopes this season

0-0 headed toward HT. looks like nasty weather
BPF - Hossannah - Halme - Diaz - Struijk - Oduor - Gotts - Stevens - McCalmont - Temenuzhkov - Shackleton

"objective fan" - is that a consistent oxymoron?"

I'd rather an awful game with Blunts getting none or one point than 'em bagging all three 63 :)

Just looking at the next round of fixtures.

By the time we play Bristol on Saturday it is possible we could be lying third, three points behind the Blades and five behind Norwich.

A real test of nerve there...
