The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 4 June)
Good Morning Everyone
Speculation is rife regarding who will be the next candidates to take the Elland Road hot heat.
Cielsa remains firm favourite.
If you wanted to be ambitious, Zidane is 50/1, whilst Cellino is 500/1. <yikes>
Its fair to say Leeds have a huge week in front of them. Not only are they expected to announce their new Manager today or tomorrow but we can definitely expect some transfer activity.
Why did Leeds wait until June 1st to sack Heckingbottom?
The reason is there was a clause in Hecks contract saying if he was sacked before KJune 1st, he would be entitled to 1m compensation After that, it was halved.
Did Heck only expect to be at Elland Road for a few months then? Weird stipulation to have otherwise.
I was house hunting for a former Southampton Manager. I could not understand why his budget was only £400k, so I asked him! His response was 'Just incase things go terribly wrong'!
Hull City fans have been taking to social media urging Abel Hernandez not to join Leeds.
The Urugian international sent a godbye message on twitter over the weekend.
It's a good thing Hull fans aren't bitter!
Pick a former player
Danny Mills or Gary Kelly
and
Ian Baird or Carl Shutt

Good morrow EB
LOL Cellino, though he was effectively the manager/coach while he owned us.
What a strange clause that is, it's almost like it was expected to happen - how long would the compensation have lasted by the way - the 500k that is.
Tough choice between Kelly and Mills.
I'd go for Shutt, always seems to score whenever he was called up into the team.

Good morning Matt
Just hope all the speculation on our new manager is put to bed swiftly & we can begin preparing for next season as soon as possible.
Gary Kelly
&
Ian Baird for me, decent goal ratio bearing in mind he played in a poor team

Good morning all.
£500k for 4 wins in 4 months? Why wouldn't you want to be a football manager?
Hope Hernandez comes.
Garry Kelly for me.

Evening Harry, I think Cellino was using us as a virtual edition of Player Manager!HarryofOz wrote: ↑Mon Jun 04, 2018 7:20 am Good morrow EB

Exactly, 3 months work, and guaranteed 500k. Not bad eh....

Morning Leon,
2nd time round when Bairdy joined, we started to assemble a decent team I reckon.

Baird was a more prolific scorer in his first stint at LeedsEllandback1 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 04, 2018 8:23 am Morning Leon,

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 4 June)
I remember a European game where Wilko took off Cantona, and bought on (I think Shutt) who on the break raced with the bay from the half way line and scored the winner.
I can't remember which game. I want to say Stuttgart???
