Salah scored a penalty, VAR I believe. Didn't actually see the game, there's been too much other sport on today :)

Yes VAR was back on tonight after being switched off for the England game

VAR called the right decision after the ref gave the foul outside the box, I'd recommend the official makes an appointment with Specsavers tomorrow :)

I always wonder why they turn the VAR off for England games ??

SG90 wrote: Tue Jun 19, 2018 1:21 pm Far too much of an overreaction from the pundits, especially Rio saying that teams will fear England now. Lol, we're bang average and scraped a win vs a poor side, who we struggled to break down. Panama will be exactly the same. This is why we need the likes of Rashford and Vardy on so we can open up teams, but we don't have a playmaker to do that. Still think qualifying out the group will be a major struggle and achievement if we do. If we face Colombia in 2nd round, we'd be taught a footballing lesson.
If you look at Tunisias results over the last few years you'll realise that they're not actually a poor side we just made them look poor. Lost to Spain through a late goal, drew with Portugal... Etc.

Friendlies but still. Drew with turkey also.

In the games before that lost very few times over the last two years. Saying they're World beaters but I think we made them look a much poorer side than they are in the match or maybe they just had an off day. Will be interesting to see how they do against Belgium and panama

The commentators passed some comment about Ronaldo having to wear thick shin pads on Monday....must have thought that Iran played a hard game.... :)

It's possible that Spain and Portugal could end up with identical records in their group. I believe there is some sort of tie-breaker (well there has to be really) in that case. Has anyone heard/read/seen any mention of which of the two are ahead in respect of the tie-breaker?

What sort of interest is there in the Oz games in Australia Harry. Is it a big thing, or will interest only develop if they go further and do well ?
