I think I said that England would get as far as the semi's....although when they did get there I wanted to be optimistic (as usually I am one of the most pessimistic around when it comes to Leeds United and England)

Not taking sides here Dan - everybody's entitled to their opinion, but I thought you may like to look at a slightly different perspective from an ESPN writer who posited the viewpoint that neither Kane nor Lukaku have scored from open play like some of the previous Golden Boot winners. Brilliant, probably the most consistent player of the tournament, Hazard excites me more than Messi tbh
