Our cats never minded thunder storms or fireworks. Lewis perfectly happy outside with either happening, doesn't even flinch. Doesn't mind getting wet either.

A right old storm brewing here
Thunderstorms & lightning plus the wind has really got up, conifers & bushes swinging from side to side. Just taken all our hanging baskets down & sheltered them in a safe place

We can actually get YT at an Import store called the 'Brown Derby' in Springfield, MO - it's not always available but mostly, and we also get treats like Red Leicester and Gorgonzola cheeses, many British bottled beers and several other items at a reasonable tear-off price. I say that because if we try to order something like HP Sauce or Cooper's rough-cut marmalade we have to go through specialist importers and then it becomes a real rip-off.
