Wow. That's quite a way to have to drive hector. We live in a Suffolk village are are lucky to have a Chinese takeaway 1 min drive away, and an Indian takeaway in the next village about 5 mins drive away.
No fish and chip shop nearby, but we have a pub at the top of our lane, and a pub at the bottom of our lane, both of which do a fantastic fish and chips....(mind you, can't beat Yorkshire fish and chips cooked in beef dripping ;-) )

The best burger I ever had was in The States, oh my, it had everything. A super bun, mayo, ketchup, gherkins, lettuce, tomato, cheese and probably some other atudd I've forgotten :)
Were you replying to me or the Mrs, Swannie?

Low Carb High Fat

I lost 2.5 stone on it last year.... stopped it at Xmas, and have gradually put 1.5 back on... So time for it to come off again... in time to put it back on again..

and so the merry go round continues

I don't snack or eat in between meals, apart from 4pm

Breakfast is light - porridge with fruit & yogurt. One piece of toast with a cuppa tea

Lunch - soup, fruit & yogurt & another cuppa

Afternoon break - Two or three Ryvita's & cheese

Dinner - Fish or meat dish & vegetables with potatoes, pasta or rice followed by low-sugar tin-fruit with diabetic ice-cream or low fat cream, or rice pudding. Proper puddings are an occasional treat these days usually when we dine out for a meal

Supper - a glass of milk

No cake or biscuits in my weekly intake of food. No beer as it doesn't seem to like me. We drink wine & spirits in moderation

Ges & BB will tell you I'm as thin as a stick :-D

Do you have food restrictions Leon?
I seem to recall you saying something about sugar before - none of my business but I assume you have diabetes or at least its precursor. You seem to be able to control it though so that's good.

Not yet Norm but my GP diagnosed I was close to the diabetes mark & I should avoid sugar intake which is almost impossible as there is sugar in so many foods. I've always had a sweet tooth & love puddings, chocolate & biscuits, I've virtually cut all three out of my diet, even my weight is correct for my 5'10" height. Surprisingly I haven't lost much weight, maybe a few pounds.

I'm physically quite fit & can outrun many of my friends who are 10 or 15 years younger than me even though I'm not one who runs every day.
