I use my bad ... It's an Americanism but hardly bad grammar. What's the alternative ?

'Kinda like' drives me up the wallrich_leeds64 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 9:20 am The worst one for me is people who say “ I should of” instead of “ I should have”, that really makes my blood boil, don’t people take any notice at school anymore or even read what they’ve written and think that’s not right.

A money-making exercise from companies/services who use this system
"we know we are keeping you waiting but your call is important to us"
Bollocks if our call is so important answer the damn phone

Poor table manners
People eating with their mouths open looking like a cement-mixer
People particularly the younger generation who use their utensils like a shovel.
Slurping ones drinks

People in queues who are impatient whilst you're being served & almost pushing you out of the way before you've finished the transaction
One of these days I going to say "would you jump into my grave as quick"

Hanging the toilet roll the wrong way round (should hang to the front, ALWAYS!), plates not being cleared before I do the washing up, towels just f**ked onto the radiator/towel warmer any old way instead of folded, filling the kettle to the neck for one brew etc etc etc. But no, I don't have OCD!!!

Moaning mods and people who create the problems they're supposed to solve.
From an earlier post, an example (not 'and example') of correct use:
"They're all there for their holidays" - pretty damned simple really!
I agree about "could of" - it starts with the contraction of 'have' - "could've" sounds a bit like "could of" and so many students just haven't been taught properly.
You even see this in newspapers now, because in the sixties they started relaxing standards - sentences now wrongly begin with conjunctions like 'and' or 'but' that are meant to join sections of sentences together. In fairness that isn't new but it's more common than it was.
All the above shouldn't be insignificant but they've become so.
