Phil Hay at the presser:

"At Bielsa's pre-Salford presser. Says there will be changes tomorrow. Didn't name Nketiah specifically but says new signings will be involved. #lufc

Bielsa said he's well aware of the feeling between Leeds and Manchester United and the fact that the game at Salford will carry some of that. "We'll take the game as seriously as we can."

Bielsa joking about his starting line-up - saying he got advice last season not to name it in public and doesn't know what to do for the best, but he's not naming it this time. #lufc

Nketiah did evaluation tests Friday, Saturday but has trained normally in the past couple of days. He will feature tomorrow. #lufc"

Like that apart from Phillips. Personally I wouldn't risk him....only my opinion mind :)

Yeah, I'd save Phillips as well and it'd give us a look at someone else in that role.

Really hoping Bogusz gets a start.

Agreed, of all the first team players, Phillips is last one I would risk. I can see one of Cooper or White playing which isnt ideal either.

Looking forward to seeing Bogusz playing.....and of course our first glimpse of Eddie in a leeds shirt.

Look at the pace and energy in Rab's team

Costa, Clarke, Nketiah, Bogusz, Gotts, Ali, Shacks.

Agree on Phillips, i'd rather risk Forshaw.

But nervous about the potential injuries though, Pablo and Klich should be left in Leeds imo.

Problem with a team full of new players is will they gel out of the box. Salford, if they start their league team, could start favourites v the above team. Good to try out if you don't care about the result, highly risky if you want to progress

I was at Histon, Rochdale & Sutton, thankfully I gave Newport a miss

I'm at Salford tomorrow night, new ground for all the travelling fans, should be a good atmosphere for obvious reasons & I'm expecting us to win even with a weakened team. Looking forward to seeing our new signings plus our U23's who will play better football than the shambles who wore the white shirts in the matches I mentioned above
Those who knock Radrizanni and Orta should take a look at how strong our side looks (on paper) even if the starting XI from the two league games are rested. Contrast that to Monk picking lads who had barely scraped into the reserves but even our reserves then were woeful. People, perhaps rightly, have had a go at Orta for signing a lot of duffers but equally he has brought in lots of players that have helped to strengthen our youth set-ups and enable them to start playing a style of football which has also benefitted the local youth players in our set-up.

Funny how specific you can be about signings when you have a philosophy, style, etc eh?

Mb says in his presser that we will see some youngsters on the bench and some who were on the bench start tomorrow night.

That sounds like a balanced approach

The bunch of lads we put out tomorrow would trounce the Leeds team v Sutton, that day leaves a very nasty taste in my mouth. No matter who plays at least we'll see some decent football. Always want Leeds to win but it wouldn't worry me if we dropped out of the cup as I feel we have the best chance ever of promotion this season.

I'd be quite happy if MB makes 11 changes tomorrow night but he won't. I expect a least four of the team from Saturday will start.
Hopefully Bogusz, Stevens, Davis, Clarke and McCalmont will all start as well as Eddie.
Normally I wouldn't give a toss about this game but because of who it is and what it means, I hope we turn them over good and proper and the young guns give MB food for thought.

At least we can sit back and enjoy this one a little more as fans. Less pressure than a league game, and therefore less stress and frustration. Would obviously love to hammer them, but if we go out of the cup with a weakened team, I wont be too bothered. So long as they play well, and there are some positives to take away from the game, its all good.

We can enjoy it Jay....I don't care about the result, as long as there are no injuries to our players from these lower league cloggers with Scum connections....

I don't want to see many changes at all tonight personally, Id like to see the main lads starting. Bamford needs games and goals. For me it'll be a massive confidence booster for him to play and bag a couple. Rest a couple of the bid midfielders, Phillips, Kilch maybe, Give Costa a start over Hernandez, but keep them on the bench as this is a banana skin and wev'e seen before TOO MANY changes doesn't work. Cant afford to get beat by these.

I do care about the result tonight mainly because if we do lose it'll set off the naysayers again and get constantly mentioned on a yearly basis..Also if you're not competing in the cup it becomes a huge waste of time and effort.

No team ever goes out to lose so whoever plays will do their best to help the team win. It will be a good test for the reserve players and I'm sure they'll want to put in a good performance in the hope it will push them closer to first team selection. Looking forward to it and i think it'll be a cracking game and atmosphere.

Same mate, I actually think the cup games are going to be quite important this season as we've got a lot of talent that isn't in the first team so as you say it's a massive motivation for players like Nketiah and Bogusz to go out there and give Bielsa a selection headache come the weekend. We should expect good football from whoever plays tonight and our promotion campaign will benefit.

Want to win this.

If we dont it will be another embarrassing defeat to lower league opposition.

And more importantly we need to see our youngsters show they are capable of playing Championship football.

League 2 should be comfortable for them if they are as good as we hope.
