Down to our last two contestants of the season.

Games of Friday/Saturday, 28 and 29 April include:

Cardiff City v Newcastle United
Barnsley v Burton Albion
Birmingham City v Huddersfield Town
Blackburn Rovers v Aston Villa
Derby County v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Fulham v Brentford
Ipswich Town v Sheffield Wednesday
Leeds United v Norwich City
Preston North End v Rotherham United
Queens Park Rangers v Nottingham Forest
Reading v Wigan Athletic
Brighton and Hove Albion v Bristol City

1964white may not select Brighton or Brentford

Gessa may not select Reading or Villa

And since Gessa, 1964white, and Gandalf are all tied atop out LMS table with two wins apiece, the winner of this round will also be our season-long champion.

Fulham and Preston both drew, at home, and by the same score.

So we will call this week a draw between Gessa and 1964white and will break the tie on the final week of the season thusly:

If both contestants choose winners or both choose teams that draw
1. Away win/draw beats a home win/draw.
2. Margin of victory
3. Goals scored
4. If still tied, the team lower in the table will be declared the winner

If both contestants choose teams that lose
1. Goals scored
2. If still tied, the team lower in the table will be declared the winner

Games to choose from include:

Aston Villa v Brighton & Hove Albion
Brentford v Blackburn Rovers
Bristol City v Birmingham City
Burton Albion v Reading
Huddersfield Town v Cardiff City
Newcastle United v Barnsley
Norwich City v Queens Park Rangers
Nottingham Forest v Ipswich Town
Rotherham United v Derby County
Sheffield Wednesday v Fulham
Wigan Athletic v Leeds United
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Preston North End

Good luck, gentlemen!

Both 1964white and Gessa remain standing with their picks Norwich and Newcastle winning 4-0 and 3-0, respectively.

Our first tie-breaker was home v away, but both teams were at home.

The second tie-breaker was goal differential, so Norwich, by virtue of winning by four goals, is the winner.

Therefore 1964white wins this round.

Further, our final season standings look like this:

1964white 3
Gessa 2
Gandalf 2
Mrs64 1 1/2
lufc1304 1
JiL 1
BobHirst 1/2

Congratulations to 1964white both on his victory in this round and his season championship!

:champ: :shirt: :shirt: :shirt: :cup

Thanks to all who participated this year; I look forward to "seeing" you all again in a few months as we start our season-long celebration of our promotion.
