This team is capable of doing that to anyone in this division OB, and a fair few in the Prem too.

I've already asked , but ,are the timing rules different on this comp to the predict 6 ?

I posted a minute late in the Predict 6 comp a few weeks ago to which Muppet responded-

12.31 - Too late with this one I'm afraid, Madron...........as it says (in bold) in the first post in this thread:
"Only strict rule is, all scores have to be in by kick off, even 1 minute late will mean your entry being void."

I noticed this rule hasn't been applied to 'late' posters on the Swansea game . and their scores have counted.
Is there a difference ?
Sorry for being pedantic but little inconsistencies do annoy me.

Up until now I had no set rules on timing on the Correct/First Scorer competition.

Just checking, there was only one person who was a minute late, penalising him as it was only a minute late & the score was still 0-0 would have been petty imo!

Due to having problems with my TV coverage, I only got my prediction in eight minutes before kick-off & was totally unaware Bamford wasn't playing until five minutes after kick-off. I'm sure millions of viewers had the same streaming problems.

All I can insist for the future is all predictions are in 15 minutes before kick-off, although I'll give way if they are only a minute late. I find being too regimental in what are only fun competitions puts people off participating.

Thank you for bringing the problem to my attention!

Thanks for reply.

There was another late updated score score 6 minutes after kick off.
My prediction in the Predict 6 was also only 1 min late also, which is why I questioned the inconsistencies with both comps.
Not sure it would have been petty, You Gotta have rules (a la Muppet).
So ,for clarity , future predictions will have a 1 minute clemency allowance on the 15 min cut-off.?
So thats 14 min before KO time? No later.
Surely just calling KO time as cut off time would be preferable.

ps Can you have a word with Muppet about not being so petty. :)

I’m with Madron on KO time being the cut off point.
Players get injured in the warm up from time to time but from a personal point of view, I regularly work on a Saturday morning and struggle to get the time to be on here when it’s a 12:30 KO.
The line ups are only issued an hour before KO too, so there would only be 45 mins to get the predictions in.

In case I don’t have time tomorrow…

Finn makes a good point, so we'll go with kick-off time, yes one minute clemency time is fine by me as I appreciate people have busy lives.

Personally I would welcome 15 to 30 minutes breathing time as I'm busily preparing post match polls up, I don't really have a chance to enjoy the build-up to game unless we're at home & I'm soaking up the atmosphere at ER.

Personally I deplore lack of punctuality, but I can't get myself in a lather about this sort of thing.

I'm more concerned about our fans posting up their predictions correctly, to make my life easier, thankfully the majority of our participants do!
