Bond with your team

If you are approaching a big game, it is important that you spend any free time bonding with your team. Evaluate your playing kit

Next, you should find time to evaluate your playing kit. Doing this will save you from any last minute panics before the next big game. If you are trying to focus on winning, the last thing you want is to be distracted by a broken stud or a large tear in your shirt.


Get plenty of rest

Another important tip is to get plenty of rest. If you are nervous about what is to come, you might find this extremely difficult. That is why you should aim to go to bed as early as possible. This way, you will give yourself a strong chance of drifting off. You should also endeavor to keep your technology out of your bedroom, as this will help you to avoid unwelcome distractions. It will be almost impossible for you to turn things around if you wait until the night before.

Finally, you should deal with any underlying issues with your health and fitness. Rather than burying your head in the sand, you need to confront your problems head-on. You could even write a list of all the things that could trip you up on the big day. Perhaps you have had an argument with one of your teammates. Why not use this time to resolve the situation? Or, maybe you are suffering from repetitive pain or injury. Why not schedule a sports massage or work with a physical therapist? When it comes to securing success, you need to hope for the best and prepare for the worst. That way, you will never be caught off guard.
