Leads United backed for promotion by bookies

Post by MOTForum »

Leeds United are among the top contenders for promotion

Punters Back Leeds United

As the new season begins, the transfer windows closes, player sign up for the Championship and bookies from around the world have begun revising their predictions and odds for the 2018-19 Championship season. Some teams have started worse than expected, other such as Leeds United have impressed.

It is now that we find out if those pre-season predictions look good. If a particular teams signings have hit the ground running or have failed to live up to expectations. Those that backed their favourite team early on with the bookie might want to check the current odds and revise their betting. Odds range from a number of sources, including sports betting NZ sites.

Leeds Are In a Good Place

At the moment, White’s fans will be pleased to learn that the team are among the favourites for with the bookies, who have put down odds of 9/2 for the Yorkshire team. The bookies at least, even if not the fans, feel that Leeds could well be on their way back to Premier League.

Also highly backed with a good chance of winning the Championship are Middlesbrough, who are holding on to odds of 7/1, Stoke with 15/2, Aston Villa at 9/1 and Nottingham Forest with 10/1.

The Odds Aren’t All Good

West Brom, Swansea, and Stoke, teams that have been relegated from the last Premier League, will all expect to be in with a good shout at returning to the Premiership.

Despite their loss at their opening game, West Brom are still looking to gain the title, and this could be because of Dwight Gayle, who has recently moved to the Baggies from Newcastle based on a loan deal. The famous striker is expected to aid their current campaign.

On the other side of the spectrum, a number of clubs have seen some much harsher odds. Some of these include Rotherham and Bolton Wanderers. Rotherham has been hit with an extremely low 500/1, followed by Bolton, also at 500/1. Bolton made no transfers during the window period, which is believed to be the reason for their bottomed-out odds.

Promotional Odds

The current promotional odds at the moment largely mirror the odds for the Championship title, West Brom at 3/1 and Leeds at 13/8 are the teams most likely to see promotion.
