Leeds v Chesterfield....Team/Reports/Ratings

Post by 1964white »

Will be interesting to see if our cup runs continue under Brian McDermott

Also what team he will play ?

Austin still suspended, available for the Foxes clash on Sunday

Byram/Diouf still injured

Will McD give some of the youngsters a run out ?

We've a massive game on Sunday so he may choose to rest players, but then again he may wish to keep gelling the squad.

He'll not want to cup-tie players we are trying to shift.

I reckon we'll see something along the lines of:

Kenny

Thompson Lees Pearce Drury

Tonge Green Murphy

White

Smith Poleon

I can't see Paddy playing this game, it will be Ashdown for sure.

I reckon likes of Brown, Norris and Hall will probably get a run out in the midfield with Smith and Poleon up front.

He's also injured..... had an infected shin, but have no idea how far along his recovery from that is.

I reckon Smith/Poleon up front for sure. They were really effective when they came on yesterday.

Maybe White/Hall/Thompson getting some time too. And hopefully Dawson and Killock!

Does this game count in Rodi's ban? If not, I'd give him a start to get him up to scratch for Sunday.

I think Ashdown is still injured Gurj. I reckon Hall will get a run but probably not start.

I really don't think Norris and Brown will play. If we are trying to sell then cup tying them would be best avoided.

Wasn't Ashdown on the bench yesterday?

Cairns has played more games this pre season than Ashdown - tho it was good to see him on subs bench vs Brighton

Agree re Norris and Brown, Doc - but it'll cost us to get rid of Brown....

Aye, you're right. Is he fit enough to start though?

Doubt if he would have been on the bench if not, he could have had to come on in the first minute

If the cup game counts as part of Austin's ban he can't play on Wednesday,

If the cup game does not count as part of Austin's ban then he will be banned for the game on Sunday.

OK - Rodi back on Sunday then - as Captain, judging from MaccyD's comments this weekend.

I think the back line will remain unchanged if Warnock is fit if not then it will be

Kenny
Pelts, Lees, Pearce, Drury
Green,Murphy, Tonge
McCormack
Smith, Poleon

I think its best to name an unchanged defense they really do need to play together to get an understanding and cut out these silly errors early on.
Forever and ever we shall follow are team, because we're Leeds United we rule supreme!

No chance! I know it's early but squad rotation is key, give young and fringe players a chance on a big stage 4 changes with Ross murphy kenny and carney sitting out for poleon smith ashdown and brown
I realised I was dyslexic when I went to a toga party dressed as a goat..
