Leeds v Watford: Team/Reports/Ratings
According to Hockaday in his presser this morning, there's been a virus going round this week. "Tuesday's dressing room was a messy place after the game."
Lets hope the worst of it has cleared up!
Definitely need changes from Tuesday night, I'm just not sure where! If he gets clearance, Antenucci should be match fit, considering he'd played games in Italy already this season.
This won't happen, just thinking of possible alternatives to the non-formation we had vs. Brighton.
------------------Silvestri--------------------
--------Bellusci---Pearce--Cooper----------
Byram------------------------------Warnock
--------------------Cook----------------------
---------Murphy------------Bianchi----------
--------------Ajose----Sharp----------------
Allows Byram and Warnock to get forward with the centre-backs spreading more to cover the gaps. Cook holding in the middle and giving a short pass option from the defence. One of Murphy or Bianchi push on to support the build up between Ajose and Sharp.
This way we'd have a bench of: S.Taylor, Wooton, C.Taylor, Tonge, Austin, Antenucci, Smith
Options to shore up midfield if necessary, Antenucci and Smith offering different approaches up front.

Re: Leeds v Watford: Team/Reports/Ratings
Does anyone know what type of player this antenucci is?
Re: Leeds v Watford: Team/Reports/Ratings
Quick(ish) striker. He's not got a bad record according to his wiki stats, though mainly at Serie B level...Brader wrote:Does anyone know what type of player this antenucci is?
Hock said he's 'Strong, explosive & can score goals. He will give us something else.' in his press conference this morning.
Re: Leeds v Watford: Team/Reports/Ratings
All we need now is to hope these neil warnock to hudds rumours are true and he takes norris/tonge/morrison with him.
I would add hunt to that but dont think even he is that stupid.

Some crackers in there - would be interesting to see if he's still got that pace on him at 29...

Nearly 30 years old and they had to pad out the video clip with Lionel Messi in action to push it past one minute

Seems nobody rates Benedicic, neither the posters nor Hockaday ever select him.
Bates, GFH, Cellino: Same s**t, different arseholes.

He's not match fit yet
Re: Leeds v Watford: Team/Reports/Ratings
A few people have been clamouring to see him start, despite only a cameo against Accrington (the first senior appearance of his career). Just because he came from a good team, doesn't mean he's automatically better than what we have.Guildford White wrote:Seems nobody rates Benedicic, neither the posters nor Hockaday ever select him.
Once he's fully fit, I'm sure he will come into our plans, but for now I'm sticking with the players who are ready for game time!

----------------Silvestri-----------------
--Byram--Bellusci----Pearce--Taylor--
---------Austin-------Cook-------------
--Murphy-----Bianchi--------Ajose---
----------------Sharp-------------------
Bellusci as a try out - since these games don't mean much. Don't think Cooper deserves to be dropped I think him and Pearce are both left footed, so Bellusci edges into the team as we need our centre backs to cover our fullbacks. Byram would be out based on performances, but Berardi not yet available.
Cook to drop in the back and win the ball to cover in defense and to collect the ball from the CBs. Austin to break up play and go on a few runs.
Not sure about the attacking side of midfield. Mowatt or Dawson might be a better option than Murphy on the outside. Still not sure Ajose is the answer to our lack of width but he's all we've got. Watford will have identified that as our weakness so if we don't change it we could well be in a foul mood again come Saturday evening.

Looked decent on the ball v Accrington, made one sublime pass to Hunt who mis-controlled a glorious scoring opportunityGenghers wrote: A few people have been clamouring to see him start, despite only a cameo against Accrington (the first senior appearance of his career). Will bow to the judgement of those of you who have seen the last three home games only know from what I saw at Millwll I would not start with Cook he was overun and as things seem to be at the moment his confidence could be killed right off if the crowd get at him.We have seen enough youngsters treated this way they need to come on in my mind if you have healthy lead not in a side that is not playing well.
Re: Leeds v Watford: Team/Reports/Ratings
Seems calm and collected with the goal in front of him, able to make the killer shot. In other words, the complete antithesis of Hunt.Genghers wrote: Quick(ish) striker. He's not got a bad record according to his wiki stats, though mainly at Serie B level...

Re: Leeds v Watford: Team/Reports/Ratings
Had be thinking similar to the post above, making the most of the 3 centre backs and using wing backs. The only really width we seem to have is the full backs. Bri mc tried the diamond last season and it never worked so let's hope hock realises this soon. We seem to have several centre mids and strikers so will have options with a 3-5-2 formation.
As of yet don't think Pearce or cooper have done much wrong to be dropped but both left footers, I would use cooper as the centre of the 3, better on the ball.
..............Silverstri
........bellusci...cooper....Pearce
Byram.................................warnock
........Murphy...Austin....bianchi
...........sharp...antenucci
Morrison, berardi and adryan would all start if fit and obviously signed to the team!! Just hoping adryan isn't just another Nunez!

Or 4-2-3-1 where you can use attackers rather than actual wingers.

.........Murphy.....bianchi
Poleon.....antenucci.....ajose
................sharp
Again adryan, Morrison, benedic and doukara can all fit quite easily into this system. Cook, Austin, tounge all options in midfield. Would mean a lot of pressure on Murphy and bianchi to get around and win the ball for the attackers but am sure they could step up and show their real worth.
