Leeds v Newcastle - Team/News/Reports
I suspect we are all waiting in anticipation hoping for a win in this cracking championship fixture come Sunday, they don't come much bigger than this in our league campaign
Hopefully Wood & Jansson will return from their international exploits injury-free although there are major concerns about O'Kane fitness especially as Bridcutt hasn't recovered from his injury spell yet !
Lets hope we can field our strongest team we've gone with of late
Green
Ayling Bartley Jansson Taylor
O'Kane Vieira
Sacko Hernandez Phillips
Wood

If O'Kane is fit it would be the same starting XI as Norwich for me.
What is happening with Bridcutt by the way? He was supposed to be days away weeks ago

My main concern is Wood always seems to come back from these breaks looking knackered, hopefully the extra day will make a difference.

You are right to be concerned Ges as travelling 1000's of miles can severely affect one's perfomances, especially air-flightsgessa wrote:My main concern is Wood always seems to come back from these breaks looking knackered, hopefully the extra day will make a difference.

Shelvey plays on Sunday
His possible ban has been put back as he has pleaded not guilty

Re: Leeds v Newcastle - Team/News/Reports
Typical! Yes I am paranoid re Leeds United as I remember the disgraceful European cup scandal v Bayern Munich! Also, the powers that be making us play against Wolves on the Monday after we had played the FA cup final on the Saturday possibly costing us the double...it just seems we never get the rub of the green. Oh well, let's just go out and stuff Newcastle...Shelvey or no Shelvey1964white wrote:Shelvey plays on Sunday

Team news.
O'Kane fit to play, Dallas ready to return.
Now the bad news; Hernandez out.

Hoping it's a bit of gamesmanship from Monk but not confident.

Hoping that Gayle is still concussed after his visit to Liverpool. At least two weeks off just to be safe I reckon?!

The authorities will allow him to play even if he is dazed & confused with his brains hanging outMissSurreyWhite wrote:Hoping that Gayle is still concussed after his visit to Liverpool. At least two weeks off just to be safe I reckon?!
Shelvey plays on a formality by pleading not guilty to a racial charge
Referee will give the Toon all the 50/50 decisions

Team I'd go with with Hernandez being out would be
Green
Ayling Bartley Jansson Taylor
Viera O Kane
Sacko Roofe Hernandez
Wood
Just think that with his pace Roofe could create havoc in between their midfield and defence but we will see

Newcastle on top early, but we're not fast starters
