Preston v Leeds - Team/Reports/Ratings

Post by 1964white »

Wood & Taylor are fit to start

Thought i read somewhere that Hernandez is likely to be fit too

O'Kane still out & may return for the Rotherham game at ER

So the team could be :

Green

Ayling Bartley Jansson Taylor

Bridcutt Vieira

Sacko Hernandez Dallas

Wood

If we are serious top six, then this is 3 points we must take. Not a disaster if we lose but a win would really reinforce our ambition for this season..........come on lads !!

Only reason I can see for it is, Monk is giving him a rest and thinks he is better suited for the Villa game.

Yeah possibly so giving RV recent run ,but Philips has the same battling qualities too. Also KP can hit a good shot and is more of a threat around the goal. And he does have to deliver a better pass but let's give hi the chance 'eh? Come on Leeds.

Match facts

Preston have scored in each of their last 19 home league encounters with Leeds, last failing to find the net in April 1935.

Leeds have won three of their last five matches against Preston (D1 L1).

The Lilywhites are unbeaten in their last four Boxing Day games at Deepdale, keeping a clean sheet on three occasions (W2 D2).

Leeds last recorded a Boxing Day shutout in 2003 v Aston Villa in the Premier League.

North End have lost just two of their last 14 Championship matches (W7 D5).

Hopefully we can change stats 1-3-4-5-
