Went to see Judie Tzuke last night, at Sheffield City Hall. I last saw her, same venue, different room, on 10th October, 1985...
Very different concert experience, but a delightful evening nonetheless.
Music so wishes to be heard that it sometimes calls on unlikely characters to give it voice...

Very good band, also had them on in the car lately

As for Tzuke, still the best, (maybe bar one,) singer songwriter: female, we've produced here

Nope, but I thought it was quite a good impression of (some of) their style.

Getting pretty excited about the new Chelsea Wolfe album now, sounds a bit heavier than her last couple of albums.

Well she certainly never disappoints, quality performance as always, played the whole album in order, Birdland and Free Money the highlights for me, even though there were many.. Finished the last hour with a selection of songs off other albums mainly Easter, in between the band did a Velvet Underground number without her which was also very good , the night ended with an encore of My Generation.

Awwww i'm gutted for my eldest son today. He had tickets for Fleetwood Mac in Manchester for tonight's gig, was a Christmas pressie. It's been cancelled due to illness with no reschedule date   :bear:
I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.

That is a real shame for 1000's of their fans. I also know someone who was looking forward to that concert

really happened to me the last time it threatened was Judie Tzuke who had a very sore throat but still went on warning us she wasn't very well. she couldn't hit the high notes (If you know Judies work she has one of the biggest vocal ranges in music) and her voice broke often but we didn't care and ended up for the last 7 or 8 tracks singing along to help out..

The Black Furs encore that night is still my favourite live experience
