heritage kit
the shirt worn on Friday is the heritage shirt which is a special edition and worn every year for the visit of wigan it commemorates the leeds pals regiment that lost there lives in world war 1 , for every shirt sold a donation is made to the british legion . the shirt is also worn away at select fixtures and applications have been made to the BBC to see if leeds can wear it in the challenge cup games as well , but the normal home & away shirts will be worn for the majority of the season .
heres a link with the background of the shirt from 2016 season it makes me proud to be a rhino .

Certainly no need to apologise to me 64, you are my 'go to' for anything I want to know.
I just wondered where the royal and gold had gone. Thanks Bert for explaining that and what a lovely story re the British Legion. I couldn't understand why Leeds would play in such a kit, but that now makes sense. I love my rugby league, so thanks guys for being there when you're needed.

Horrible tackle from Westwood gets him binned, and Briscoe scores in the corner from the drive. 0-4.

Briscoe struggling under the high ball. 12-4. Although it should have been chalked off.
