You're right, nothing I like more than turn the volume up when I'm in the car and listening to that.hector wrote:Classic album mate....

Stone Foundation - Street Rituals. Lovely Philly Soul sound to this on a beautiful sunshine-filled day. And some of Weller's best work in ages

Picked up We were Dead.....and Good News For People. ... £3.00 for the 2 in one of local markets I rarely go to, today. Half way through We Were Dead and like it already. Parting Of The Sensory an early favourite.faaip wrote:Good News for People that love bad news is excellent, probably my favourite MM album still (Bukowski, The Ocean Breathes Salty, Float On are nailed on classics as is The Devils Workday). We were dead before the Ship even sank is good. Contains the wonderful dashboard. The Moon and Antarctica also worth a listen which is where I started tbh. I do own Strangers to Ourselves but it's still in it's plastic. (I own about 10 albums I'm yet to unwrap, one for about 5 years (Goldfrapp))
Good News for People that love bad news is probably one of my desert island 10 right now

My most played album over the last six months....love it
Re: today I have been mostly listening to..............
Yesterday a couple of oldies..
Old new borrowed and blue... sorry for the late replyto your question Leon.... It has mostly stood the test of time I think, there are some cracking songs on there, a couple sound dated, but that is mostly due to the one thing that made the group stand out... NODDYS voice, when he screams, you can't help but think back to the 70's...
Kimono my house... this has stood the test of time, and is still IMHO a real classic, never to be bettered by the group.

I am just starting to really get into the early Genesis albums that I missed due to being too young...
