Been re-listening to a lot of Beastie Boys recently. That run of 3 from Paul's Boutique, via Check Yr Head, through to Ill Communication is consistently great. I'd rank those all as 9 out of 10 albums. Tough to choose a winner from them.

So hard to pick a favorite Beatles album. At various time I've liked the Second Album (not released as such in the UK), Revolver, and Abbey Road best of all.

But for me these days, it's one of their most under-rated albums: Let it Be. The re-working of "Across the Universe" is stunning, the two Harrison tunes are fantastic, and "I've Got a Feeling" is as good a song as the band ever made; a true Lennon-McCartney collaboration, showing them both at their best. A really great album that has stood the test of time.

I like The Sky's Gone Out. Difficult choice. Bauhaus were always a band I had a lot of time for but felt there was more there that was never quite released. They always felt like they were holding something back

I'd go:

Bauhaus - Mask (7/10)
Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique (9/10)
Beatles - Revolver (9/10)
