Re: Your Top Ten Favourite Sports
Don't really like football (Remember I am a Leeds fan)
Used to play rugby Union, but don't really enjoy watching it
like to watch a bit of snooker when I can get the steaming right on t'internet (no tv )
used to like formula 1, but not any more
cricket
tennis
are both like watching paint dry
horse racing is boring and fixed
Used to participate in orienteering for fun..... but not any more...
So I haven't got 10 sports I like, so cannot participate in this discussion......

Re: Your Top Ten Favourite Sports
Enjoy all these
Football
Rugby league ( Wakefield Trinity and Leeds)
Cricket (all formats Yorks and England only)
Tennis
Snooker
Formula 1
Rugby Union ( England and Lions only)
Boxing (especially Josh Warrington who's a massive Leeds United supporter)
Golf (enjoy playing and watching the Ryder cup and Solheim cup)
Cycling ( not watching but riding my bike)
Would love to take up bowls. My uncle used to play on the Scarborough greens when we used to go on holiday there one week a year. I always imagined I would take it up myself but I don't think my bad knee would allow me to now.

I've played on the Scarborough bowls green
Re: Your Top Ten Favourite Sports
Knee is ok for cycling, walking etc, but not good for crouching down. They have a carpet bowls tournament here in the village, but I have no idea if there are greens in Ipswich. My aunt and uncle used to take me and my cousin to Scarborough for a week ( when I wasn't at Flamborough ) and we stayed over a shop near the greens, so we would quite often walk through them to get on to the front. Lucky you having played there1964white wrote:Depends how bad your knee is Swan ? you could try a strap support

1. Football (real)
2. Baseball
3. Basketball
4. Golf
5. Football (American)
6. Tennis
7. Track and Field
8. Skiing (alpine)
9. Hockey
10. Gymnastics
Played the first four when I was younger and ran track through high school (middle distances). Now a round of golf is the best I can do. I do, however, walk the 18 holes. Motorized carts are for chumps and American presidents.
Oops. that's redundant.
