Gus Poyet

Post by beer belly bert »

Gus Poyet has quit as head coach of struggling Chinese Super League team Shanghai ,The club's 11th defeat in 23 matches this season came despite the introduction of Carlos Tevez (£600k per week )off the bench after the Argentine forward's return from injury on Sunday.
"Mr Poyet formally offered his resignation to Shanghai Shenhu a today," read a statement from the club.
"After considering the decision, the club has agreed to accept Mr Poyet's resignation. From today, Mr Poyet will no longer be head coach of the club."

probably end up back at the BBC as a pundit or at Sunderland when they sack Larry , always thought he would end up back here at Leeds at some point but glad it never happened as he seems like one of the managers who always gets associated with every job that comes up , never achieved anything as a manager but was a half decent player in his time ,
I could stop drinking but im not a quitter

Couldn't give a toss.. he's history at this club, like all the ex players still performing at various clubs, (some of them not very well!) and keep getting linked with a move back to ER.
Not wanted !!
Look to the future, not the past...
