Re: Prem/Ch/L1/L2 Albums Poll - FINAL TABLES & REVIEW OF THE SEASON

Post by lufc1304 »

Great work, Leon. Love the format of this, always new and sometimes unknown stuff coming in on the lowest tier with a chance to progress if listeners dig! Cup comp a good idea, too. Nice one, mate, keep up the good work

Thanks Nick

Glad you are enjoying the comps

Frustrating when some don't take part as there is a lot of my time & effort goes into a project like this on my part so it is nice to be appreciated

I'm also looking forward to the new albums nominated & the cup tournament

Thanks, Leon, many thanks, for running this competition. It's great fun.

I will switch gears a bit and nominate Imperial Bedroom by Elvis Costello and the Attractions

Difficult to know whether to choose something I like but that is likely to lose every week but might get someone listening to it or something everyone knows that is great but "safe". Let me have a think.

Go for a safe option is my advice Durly, pointless nominating a album that's going to receive limited votes.

Are you a Smiths fan ?

Can't believe there isn't one of the greatest bands albums of the 80's not in the competition

Nick Cave is another major absentee ?

Also there are better Radiohead albums than Bends imo !

Just three to consider mate, hope you come up with a cracker if you have alternatives in mind

Tricky mate. I'd go another Radiohead but I'd like to choose an artist that aren't as yet represented. Smiths and Cave are both good shouts. There are also albums by the likes of Mogwai, Explosions In The Sky, Red House Painters, Richmond Fontaine, Faith Bros, I'd love to choose but they won't get many votes (although Gessa will give some points to RHP).

Will make a decision imminently.

I'm enjoying the Mogwai tune 'Crossing The Road Material' from their new album

Genghers nominated a Mogwai album in the first polls which didn't do too well, eliminated in the end
