Should have been a free-kick to us as the Boro' man grappled Ayling's neck & then pulled him over.

BUT what was our ponytail thinking grabbing the offenders ankle ?

Another goal senselessly given away by our RB

He has to be connected to the club as none of the stewards stopped him running to the South Stand & then to the Kop.

Was he Radz or Orta ?

Just a long line of stupid errors from our ponytail over the last three months

And Ayala elbowed Berardi in the head , he shouldnt have been on the pitch at the end (cant remember if that was before or after the pen)
Couldn't believe Ayala didn't even get a yellow card :yell: :red:

Worrying, I guess our bad form of late apmplifies frustrations.
Reactions like that, to various situations will cost us. Needs a word in his ear.
What would have been nice was to see him get up, ask Ayala the score and give a wink rather than give them a route back into the game
I realised I was dyslexic when I went to a toga party dressed as a goat..

weasel wrote:Definitely idiotic from Ayling but perhaps in mitigation I wonder where Ayala's foot was going to land as it was very close to Ayling's body and Ayling may have been expecting to be stamped on as well as being throttled to the ground.
No excuses whatsoever imo!

Cjay wrote:Lonner-7 . .not a great deal to do, but considering the shambles last time, much better.
Ayling-5 . . would have been more because he was solid, marked down for being a tit, no excuse, should know better.
Coopers-6 . .was ok, solid but not outstanding (sums him up at his best).
Jansson-9 . .Thought he was a rock, much much more like it, seemed to have fire in his belly
Berardi-7 . .did well again, lacks going forward but handled the threat well.
Vieira-8 . .A warrior, undroppable imo, passing bit suspect, but miles better then O'Kane.
Phillips-8. .did really well, energy, protected the back 4, got forward.
Alioski-8.5 . .involved in both goals, worked hard, tired towards the end.
Saiz-8 . .unlucky not to score, scares defenders, works hard, linked well with the 2 either side and Roofe.
Pablo-9.5 . .a class above today, immense, at his best like today far to good for this league.
Roofe-9 . .excellent, movement, work rate, involved in both goals, great display.

Subs.
O'Kane-no time, was just there to be fresh legs.
Penny-Same as O'Kane.
Ekuban-6 . .closed down, ran VERY fast, good to have him back.

TC-9 . .got the team motivated, reunited the 3 musketeers, got rid of one of the 3 stooges, not going to get ahead of myself but that was a well organised, hard working, slick display and he deserves credit.

Agree Cjay  Pontus was magnificent today, saved our backs on two or three occasions.

Back to his solid as a rock status today

Kept their big forwards at bay all afternoon

I bet you would young lady but one has to be professional in these situations, retaliation is not the answer.

Unfortunately one of the worst referees I've seen this year saw every other tussle in the box apart from that one, his stupid lino only saw the ankle pull from Ayling which is bl**dy typical, the ref had no intention of overturning his lino as he had his red underwear on today.

Ayling could have cost us which the only time we let Boro' back into the game. I would have been fuming if Boro scored an equaliser :chair:

He was, very pleased.

In fairness Ayling played his part to, they both were solid on our right side.

When Interviewed about his thought on Monk
Pontus was very diplomatic and did not have a bad
word to say. Victors can always be magnanimous

I didn't take it

I was screaming at the referee as he constantly favoured Boro' with some ludicrous decisions :x

7 Lonergan - much better after his nightmare at Brentford
7 Ayling - much improved apart from his retaliation moment
9 Jansson - back to his very best MOTM
7 Cooper - steady
7 Berardi - love his spirit
8 Vieira - his good recent form continues
9 Phillips - outstanding
8 Alioski - chose the wrong options a few times when in good positions
8 Saiz - always a threat & unlucky not to score. A joy to watch
9 Hernandez - at his creative best
8 Roofe - gave his giant markers the runaround

9 Christiansen - spot on today

1 Officials - had their red underwear on

1 A section of the South Stand - What was the point of holding onto the ball, gave a license for the ref to add on time

1 Monk - for being a twonk
