As we continue our award winning
Interesting FACTS series..
If your birds are a tad off colour due to the moult.
Then crushed doggy biscuits
Will speed up the moult.
As use wainwright's hooever other brands are available :wink:

Thanks for the tip... the birds have been on the moult for about 3 months now (or it seems that long) it is the change in temp all the time...

Hec it's vital that birds have a good moult,
If a bird doesn't moult or has a bad moult then generally they never
Make the grade at stock or racing.
You're looking for strong fresh new feathers .
I note the ones that have a late moult because they tend to come into their own
In June july long distance season 600 to 700 mile races.
If a bird doesn't moult I dispose of them.
I regular give liquid b12 cytacon also once a week I add garlic & honey to thieir drinkers.
Make sure you have a fresh supply of minerals & grit when breeding
I toast egg shells & crush them for my grit
I grow spinach during the season they love to peck on this
Once a week they enjoy a bath so add condys crystals to the water.
You are looking for strong droppings dark green with a white cap
Always check for coci worm wet droppings are always a bad sighn
Treat the drinkers with auromyson
