I thought he looked fine tbh. Barardi no better. That pass in the last minute was abysmal

Out of position, but for Weidwald his pathetic attempt at an interception would have cost us , poor in possession.
Was awful in the second-half losing possession in dangerous areas, tbh I've lost patience with him totally. Ayling is not my type of defender, we are so short of decent full-backs we have precious little alternatives to give us the option of benching him.
Berardi should be our RB, but then who do you play at LB ?

Bench him, drop him, say he's injured, let him have a drink Xmas day and hope he misses the bus.

Idc just dont let him start vs Burton.

In fairness he is probably knackered but he has been so poor this season.

But for other people he would have cost us today, especially 1st half.

Even in his pomp last season he got caught out of position several times costing us goals

This season you may as well put Luke down as a missing person
Shame he doesn't go missing before matches rather than during matches .

Noticed from a Burton Gk Vieira was Right Back .

This must be TC's instructions, he has to have told Ayling to push up.

Once again he was out of position often.

Just for the sake of interest .

Heatmaps there if anyone wants to check his positioning, Millwall ones interesting, mostly midway in our or there half.

Anyone notice that we haven't won a game since we lost Ayling through injury

Yes was only saying this at the game yesterday

For all his defensive frailties Ayling & Saiz are the only two players in the squad who are willing to run at defences & get us from box to box in quick-time

We've missed them both badly Harry

For his infuriating faults he and Ali did work well together.

I said months ago that I liked Ayling. Everyone else slated him.....I did wait to see how we got on without him before commenting again. Seems like we miss him and his enthusiasm.....

I'm with Swannie, Ayling is not that bad defensively either.

And as you have said Leon, he attacks with will.

Maybe, CJay it's not a coincidence that Alioski was better against Sheff Utd, than he had been for a while. Maybe Dallas and Ayling have similar styles and it suits him.

It seems he was more important to our overall game then i realised tbf.

He gave a lot more going forward then Berardi.

Could be right.

Maybe Alioski needs a more attacking full back to create more space for him and take away the attention a bit.

If Ayling was fit I doubt any of us would have doubts about starting him over the last few weeks

Did well today.

Pearce and Ayling give a better balance, they both are attack minded, means our team doesnt get lobsided.

Did well.

Indeed Cjay

Both full-backs were superb today, gave us something that we have lacked in 2018

He's a lock in for next year. Even fills in at CB when needed.

Was very poor vs Brentford and not for the first time.

Defensively he looked very shakey and the less said about his passing the better.

Also for an experienced defender wtf was he doing on a yellow diving in like that.

Wont blame him for his yellow for dissent as i understand the frustration.

But i do have one question that hasnt really been asked.

Where the f**k was Ayling when Watkins, his man, was free as a bird in our box?
