The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 8 June)
Good Morning Everyone
I have to say the City of Leeds did England proud last night.
Everything went to plan and a good night was had by all. Let's hope they don't wait until 2034 for their next visit to ER.
Its great to see that LUFC have the facilities to host boxing and International Football, not just domestic football.
There is nothing new to report regarding talks with Bielsa, nor Hernandez. I'd have to say that the more time it drags on, the less likely it is.
To my way of thinking, today is D-day. There needs to be significant progress today to keep the wheels turning in the right direction.
Given the choice, between bringing Bielsa or Hernandez to the club, who would it be?
Norwich City are set to sign Emiliano Buendia in a deal worth £1.5m this summer, according to the Eastern Daily Press.
A host of Championship clubs, including Leeds are said to be interested in the 21 yo Argentine forward.
He has been on loan last season with our sister club Culture Club!
Pick two player
Carlton Palmer or Alfe Inge Haaland
and
Gunnar Halle or Robert Molanaar

Reports in turkey that galatasaray have put an offer forward for Hernandez - real sucker punch if he goes to them over us. European football is a big draw so let’s just hope he wants to stay in England.

Good atmosphere with a couple of Leeds songs thrown in

Yes Halle was underrated MattEllandback1 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 08, 2018 8:35 am Morning Leon, I loved both those players.
Halle was under rated in my opinion.
When Keane broke Alfie's leg, the scummer should have gone to prison. Imagine if that incident happened at Elland Road. There would have been a riot.
Alfie was such a nice guy

Morning EB.
Nice to see Elland Road as an international venue, and to see former players Danny Rose and Fabian Delph performing well. Delph gave the Leeds salute, and wished he could play at ER more often. Get him in, Radz.
The manager is the most important cog in our aspirations. Has to be Bielsa.
I would imagine that we have had a look at Buendia, and passed. Six goals for a Spanish 2nd division club last season is not sparkling form. Our sights are set higher (I hope).
The two Norwegians for me.

Morning Gandolf, absolutely, the only one we were missing was Milner. Delph was surprisingly good I thought.Gandalf wrote: ↑Fri Jun 08, 2018 9:51 am Morning EB.

Must admit, I've got my heart set on Bielsa. If its not him, I still think we'll get a decent recognised Manager, either Bruce or Ranieri.
The more I think about it, the more I would not go for Big Mick.

I'd take Bruce you can't complain with his track record. He's the guy to get you out of their division if anyone is

Only if he spends big, and even that didn't work out too well last season.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 8 June)
God no to Bruce, so many levels of wrong. Couldn't get a massively expensive Villa squad up and would leave them on the door of financial destitution. Now he's not solely culpable for that but if he says he wants to go and talk to the first club who come callling because his current employers have run out of cash then what does that say about the man. If you are such a good coach stay on and get the best out of what is left and try and repay the faith the club has shown in you when they supported the player choices you wanted when cash was available, oh hang on you're not that good?... just.no, no, no, seeing him with the White Rose on his (oversized) training gear would kill a little bit of me each time - NO, please.Ellandback1 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 08, 2018 10:39 am Morning Gandolf, absolutely, the only one we were missing was Milner.
