TWELVE NOMINATIONS

We have 12 players so everyone will have one album to nominate for Season 7 of this competition
Ummm………………...this might need a little thought ! :duno:

Can't believe 'Wish You Were Here' has never been nominated Cat

Surprised Ges hasn't gone for a Sabbath album & BB not nominated a Deep Purple album in the previous six rounds

GYBR & Transformer are classic albums

In honour of the wonderful Mark E. Smith

The Fall - Extricate, probably not their most critically renowned but one of the first I bought and still a fave.

Love Mark E & the boys Norfolk, unsure how much appeal they'll attract on here though

Good luck

Lets go for one of the great modern rock albums, there's very few to be honest but this would almost certainly be top 20 all time

Almost Killed Me - The Hold Steady

Yep changing my mind has to be Separation Sunday - The Hold Steady

Guardian ★★★★★ "A truimph of non-judgmental storytelling, delivered within purgative rock'n'roll"
Blender ★★★★ "Sounds like the best bar band in the world"
Billboard ★★★★★ "one of the grittiest, realest New York rock albums
Flak Magazine 9/10 "stories scored by big, fat monster hooks, and effortless piano-driven melodies"
Pitchfork 8.7/10 "turns Finn's dirtbag chronicles into something epic and huge and molten and beautiful"
New York Times ★★★★ "These are songs full of offhand aphorisms, and they can grab you from the first line"
PopMatters 7.0/10 " it will make you air-guitar. For certain."
Austin Chronicle 7.8/10 "The music is like some unholy amalgamation of Born to Run-era Springsteen and Billy Joel shazam. This is a good thing"
Amazon ★★★★ "glorious din, scabrous punk rock swagger with hard rock power chords"
Rolling Stone 7/10 "a whirlwind tour through an overstuffed brain"
Robert Christgau 'A-' "I take the scriptural references as tokens of Craig Finn's quality education"
"Never debate an idiot, they'll only drag you down to their level and they have the advantage of experience"
