Nelson Oliviera the latest striker name linked (Phil Hay ruled us out of the running for Assombalonga and Kodjia).

Was my choice to replace Chris Wood so id be a very happy Cjay :)

Rumours of a cut price deal, £2-4mil mentioned, allegedly not got a good relationship with the Norwich boss and not in Germany with the Norwich squad on there pre season tour.

Decent record in this league, 65 games 28 goals (minutes played taken into account), bargain if thats the price imo, we shall see.

52.4.2 No Club may sign more than 4 Players on a Temporary Loan Transfer from another Club (or club) in any Season, of which no more than 2 Players may be over the age of 23. The deadline for determining a Player’s age in this respect shall be as at the 30th June prior to the Season in which the Temporary Loan Transfer is intended to take place. Any Temporary Loan Transfer which subsequently becomes a permanent transfer (which can occur any time during the period of the Temporary Loan Transfer) shall not count against a Club’s quota of such Temporary Loan Transfers for that Season.

Baker turned 23 in April so according to the above rules wouldn't be classed as over 23 years old all next season (as they go by the 30th June date so him turning 24 in April next year wouldn't rule him out for end of season matches such as play offs or the cup final).

Although not sure if them saying over 23 years old means that they are excluded if they are 23 years old and 1 day or they have to be 24 years old but would have thought it would be the latter.

The Marriott and Maddison rumours from posh seem to be picking up abit if traction again. Wouldn’t have a problem with either of them coming in tbh. Attacking young English players with a really good record in League 1.

He is a good striker but undoubtedly has had issues with the management there, didn't play at times last year when he seemed the obvious choice. Would be a decent move for us, would suit a system well that needs a mobile, technically decent CF.

Just fell out with the manager, it happens, wouldn't hold that against him.

Certainly a more exciting option then Jordan Hugill.

A new name today.

May be something in this one, although just a rumour at the moment.

A Chelsea player commented on Jamal Blackman's Instagram, "wait for me". Of course this could be another Kurt Zouma nonsense rumour.

But this player was at the World Cup and was a regular, Kenneth Omeruo.

24 years old, distinguished international career for Nigeria already, played 2 games at the last World Cup in a back 3, key player in there 2013 African Cup winning side, also played at the 2014 World Cup and 2013 Confederations Cup and has spoken out about his dissatisfaction with the Chelsea loan policy.

Club career not quite so distinguished, although last 3 seasons playing in the top league in Turkey, 2 loan spells at Boro, one of which he played fairly regularly and they finished 4th. Besiktas and Zenit among his rumoured admirers.

We shall see.

Brentford confirm that they have accepted an offer for winger Florian Jozefzoon.

Nixon thinks its from us, Brentford forum reporting £3.8mil.

7 goals 7 assists last season.

Extremely quick and hardworking apparently.

Think it was him who gave Berardi the run around at there place.

Nixon is notorious for a lot of guess work.

I noticed phil hay commented that he heard it wasn’t from ya however may spark us into matching it as it’s someone we’ve looked at a few times.

Think it’s obvious we need a couple of players in now. CB/ST priority and a wide man or two would be a bonus

Dunno how to stick the tweet on here

Peter O'Rourke saying we have matched Derby for Jozefzoon.

Now down to the player.

Wait to see if the Scottish Oracle confirms this in the morning.
