One morning a few years back he came to my house to do a job and as it happened I had the TFCC playing, he asked me what it was and if I'd play it again, which I did, he ordered it the next day.
I'm a bit like your mate ges, not particularly into music so much any more. Totally understand how he grew out of it. Jane (McDonald) brought me back from the brink really, (hope our hector doesn't read that :) ).....but I was totally engulfed in what I listened to tonight....stunning, absolutely stunning....

I will be downloading the album tomorrow....or rather Mr Swan will be....thank you Leon :)
Well that was a surprise, a pleasure Swannie.

So pleased you enjoyed those clips, their music is emotive also reminds me of being abroad on a desert island or in some sunny place. Even though The Flying Club Cup is now over ten years old when I go back to it I keep playing it over & over again the album fills me with joy every time

Those who dismiss it are missing out on something truly wondrous

Funny enough our builder/friend who recently laid our patio (the one I got into Dead South) also loves the album. I think the whole neighbourhood heard TFCC that week Rob was here as he couldn't get enough of the album :)

That's because it is totally different to what you've heard before, it sounds so fresh & magical, as you say "absolutely stunning"

When they do come over, which isn't very often, they only seem to play London.

Beirut reminds me a little of Black Carrot in their avant gardeness. I think of the two I'd prefer to listen to Carrot.
