How good is Josefzoon? Not made a huge number of appearance's wherever he's been.

We definitely need pace - preferably some with a bit of end product...

Sky news just reporting the same, saying Leeds have matched Derby's offer...source close to the player says he would prefer Leeds, but we shall see

Alejandro Machuca loaned out season long to Burgos FC in Spain's third division

Unfortunately now confirmed, Jozefzoon is going to derby on a 4 year contract.

Yet another we have lost out on.

This pre-season is becoming an utter shambles in terms of player recruitment !

Seems to have been a last second approach from us, they seldom work.

Wondering who actually sits down and does negotiations.

Always assumed Orta, could be Kinnear, whoever it is has a worrying habit of starting negotiations they cant complete.

Angus Gunn, David Stockdale, Matej Vydra, Abel Hernandez, Florian Jozefzoon.

Derby came in, got there man in days, we spend weeks even months and still end up empty handed.

Reports stating the persuasive powers of Lampard were the deciding factor, so much for us going all out for a world renown coach who everyone respects.

Not surprised.

6th placed club with a good squad and a manager who players today will remember as a great player or an average midtable team with a poor to average squad whose manager though respected in the right circles is an unknown to the average player here.

Plus Derby pay better wages.

Not knocking Bielsa but if Radz believed that his name alone would be enough then he is seriously misguided.

Lampard could be complete junk as a manager. Ex footballers in first jobs usually crash and burn

Difference is he probably never even got the opportunity to speak to Bielsa ( through an interpreter ) as no doubt Orta and Kinnear probably did all the negotiating. Say no more :-(

Beginning to get more than a little hacked off with our club management.....I've said very little on recruitment hoping they would pleasantly surprise us but I'm beginning to think that some of you are right :x

Abel Herbandez would have cost with everything taken into account . . 100k a week.

It took us months to find this out.

I doubt the player's sole decision to move to Derby was based on Lampard being manager. The player is though obviously going to say good things about his new boss when asked. Blackman (our new GK) in his interviews after signing for us was saying that everyone at Chelsea was saying to go to Leeds and learn from Bielsa and how it was a great opportunity etc.

I think that permanent signings will go to whoever gives them most money but Bielsa will certainly give us more pull with loan signings as the parent club will want their players to develop under Bielsa.

So far Derby have done better than us too in the loan market. Cjay hit the nail on the head, we’re not an attractive club at the moment, players see us as an average Championship team lacking quality.
