Not seen anything of Halme, but I'm guessing he's injured still? Is highly rated and an under 18 international. Reckon he'll go on loan somewhere once he's fit.

Bouy I've no idea about. Loan? Can't remember whether he played in that u18 match the other week.

The rest of them are probably surplus tbh.

Anita, O'Kane and Murphy are all primarily CMs and we have millions. I don't mind O'Kane, but never got a look in after his red. Klich looks a better option tbh.
Anita wasn't great at RB and we already have Berardi and Ayling there as well as good youth backup.

Sacko and Ekuban could probably be squad players, but we need cuts and they've never impressed consistently.

Suspect we'll see movement this week, or they'll probably get released.

But most are on long contracts and in the case of Sacko were an investment to start with. Won't be cheap to just release ...

Halme is still injured for a month or two according to his agent.

Pretty ridiculous really.

2 January signings combined were injured for a year. 6 months for Roberts 6months for Halme so far.

Bouy's agent is Mino Raiola, think thats something to do with why he is still here tbh.

And people also moaning about the club taking a long time to do medicals this summer. Perhaps lessons learnt from January where in addition to the 2 mentioned above we also signed Forshaw who was nursing an injury and missed a few games due to it. The club has had a bit of an overhaul with medical staff so perhaps things are being done more thoroughly now.

If something untoward shows up in the medical it can take a while to check it out properly. Certainly if we are spending £11m on Vydra we wouldn't want to sign someone who wasn't likely going to be able to play in 90%+ of our matches (don't forget that he was left out of a Derby friendly reason with the reason being given as an injury), even if spending £3m-£5m on Douglas we would want him to be completely free of injury.

Not sure it takes several days for a medical though, you could take two weeks and still miss whatever ailed Roberts or it may have been picked up and considered minor. How would that work transfer deadline day?

I guess you do some xrays, take some blood, put them through their paces making sure they can run and cut without problems. Stick em on a treadmill etc.

You're never going to guarantee fitness, Bit like an MOT test for a car, one day it passes next day a bulb blows or the exhaust gets dinged and needs replacing (happened to me on a speed bump 2 days after an MOT)

Football agent mate.

Like Jorge Mendes at Wolves

Represents Pogba, Ibrahimovic, Lukaku and others including weirdly Bouy.

Not sure really how long a medical would take, like you say deals get done on deadline day but you can't help wonder if some of those deals are panic deals and the medicals aren't as thorough as normal.

A lot of stuff these days is done with computers that can measure all sorts of stuff, if you watch the Leeds players training and even in matches they all seem to have a sort of belt across their chests which records all sorts of stuff which is designed to give as much information to the club as possible so that they can try to pre-empt players getting injured and even stuff like being able to see who is fatigued during match (by analysis rather than just by sight alone). Like you say though never any guarantees but the idea is to do as much non-invasive testing as possible (so as to avoid causing an injury) but still find out what you need to know.

AM guessing something untoward has cropped up with Vydra which may lead to us withdrawing our offer or trying to negotiate lower.

Ekuban hauled at half time, O'Kane after 60 mins. I don't think there's much chance of them featuring.

No Murphy at all. Would be surprised if we couldn't offload him to league 1. We won't recoup his transfer fee, but I can see a few clubs being interested.

Were rumours Ekuban had failed to report or had been let go, we at least know he's back with the club
