Great ball Klich to Roofe, good control Roofe and nice pass for Roberts I think it was in the box...Resultant corner Phillips flick on Roofe beats two men and finishes really well...

1-0

Shackleton for Baker, Baker going straight down the tunnel.

then turns back and goes to the bench.

A tantrum of sorts :duno:

Very good finish from Roofe after two more great passes from Klich that opened Las Palmas up

Baker coming off, going straight down the tunnel so wonder what happened there. Shackleton on, promising youngster

Agree.

Just not a natural or clinical finisher imo.

He would have had more if the supply was slightly better this pre-season, 4 maybe if Ayling and someone elses passes had been on target

1-0 full time.

Pretty average until Klich came on imo.

He was the catalyst, everyting became quicker and slicker.

Roofe did well, Dallas did ok.

Not to many genuine goalscoring chances though, we need a goalscoring number 10 and a winger still even if Bamford comes.

Sublime passing from Klich... sees the space and the runner and picks his spot.
He should definitely be in the first team on this performance. Not only does he pass
the ball well, but he can ride a challenge, lesser men would have gone down but he
rolls with the punches and keeps on going, whereas Alioski or Saiz would be down on their arses.
Gem of a player on this showing. Reminds me of Modric... nearly :-)

Thought he was brilliant.

Forshaw, Vieira, Phillips, Baker, none of them come close to Klich in terms of vision and passing, always positive passes to, none of this sideways nonsense.

Long ball over the top will always find the stumpy arsed dwarfs out.
Waiting for the return of the PJ.

... know all the reasons for the changes but you would hope that he would continue to select the team that has been winning. I was impressed with Klich (except for the slip) . Looked good on the ball and seemed to pick out the best pass to make.

Deserved 1-0 win (This team beat Brum 4-1?) We were on top most of the game bar the two set pieces and a late lapse. Need to be more clinical in midfield though

BPF - 7, excellent distribution, not much else to do. Should start next week

Ayling - 7 defended ok, caused a few problems but passing was off today and first touch let him down a couple of times
Beradi - 6 - OK We know he's not a CD and he's not starting next week. Looked best when in full back mode
Cooper - 7.5 - Very solid considering he was next to Beradi and Dallas
Dallas - 5.5 - No touch at all, everything over hit ran with the ball with little finesse, Also shouldn't start next week

Phillips - 8 - Caught once in defence but overall did an excellent job of breaking up play
Vierra - 6.5. Started well, faded, subbed at half time, played on Thursday so that may have been it. Behind Phillips right now to start as the DMF

Saiz - 5 - Poor, should have run the game but was almost anonymous bar a couple of meaningless runs. Subbed at HT.
Hernandez - 7 - Rusty out of the gate, grew into the game. Not sure about him on the wing

Roofe - 9 - Busier than anyone else, constant running beat defenders at will could have had 2/3 if final ball had been better but in the end created and core the winner. Going to have to fight off Bamford from now on and as we just spent 7 M it's Bamfords to lose.

Alioski - 5 - Poor on the left, lacking confidence or something. Should be waltzing past players at this level..no real challenger for playing time so probably starts next week.

Klich - 10 - MOTM Thought Roofe had this sown up after the first half...Klich took the game by the scruff of the neck and split the defence on so many occasions...linked up well with Kemar I thought and Ayling. Has to start next week

Roberts - 6 - Also looked out of place on the left after replacing Ali. Not too much supply though, should get better. Bench next week
Baker - 6 - One nice run, but the substitute got subbed and seemed peeved about it...something to watch going forward

No sign of our other loan signing Blackman, don't see how he can start and not sure MB is that impressed with him in training either. Be interesting to see if he makes the bench and we have 4 keepers behind him
