Boro closing in on a double loan from Everton.
Mo Besic and Yannick Bolasie
Two players who would have definitely improved us, especially besic

I wouldn't have blamed you Leon1964white wrote:
If McClaren had been appointed at Leeds I would seriously have considered not purchasing a season-ticket. Fifteen years of pain with more to come would have been too much to bare

I have no idea how McClaren keeps getting jobs. When was the last time he improved a team?

Re: Championship 18/19
Well he made Leeds look a much better team than they were when he was in charge of Derby...
Re: Championship 18/19
Villa on the verge of signing two international wingers.
Anwar El Ghazi and Yannick Bolasie.
Cant help but feel we are being left behind again.
Risking it all on a paper thin squad like the last few seasons where we really only needed 2 or 3 quality additions.

Re: Championship 18/19
Kodjia equalises with the last kick of the game for Villa, 2-2 with Brentford. Good result for us, keeps us top and they take points off each other. Although I think Villa will be the bigger threat in the long run.
Stoke losing 3-0 at home to Wigan and Ashley Williams sent off. Looks like Rowett might not even make it beyond the first international break!

21 + potentially players from the U23s - a couple of weeks ago we wouldn't really have been talking of Shackleton as a member of the first team squad.

Probably around 4 or 5 close to the first team.....

Unbelievable how poor managers can continue to be employedNorfolkWhite wrote: ↑Wed Aug 22, 2018 9:57 am Made a very decent living out of being a very average manager, and I'm being kind there.

Re: Championship 18/19
Bolton and Wigan doing very nicely so far this season which is more than can be said of promotion favourites Stoke who are now second bottom.
Re: Championship 18/19
I'm really pleased with last night's results
Everybody's favourites Stoke City are struggling
Villa drop a points at home
My three dark horses for the season - Brentford drop two points in the last minute. Preston & Millwall both lose
Monk's team loses again
The surprises are Wigan, Bolton & Blackburn all three promoted clubs doing well
Early doors yet!

As you say 64 early doors, but two 'believers' in the predicted end of season table finish had Leeds at the top - BB and EB1964white wrote: ↑Thu Aug 23, 2018 4:37 am I'm really pleased with last night's results

Heard him interviewed after the game the other night "football is about boxes, keeping it out of the net at one end and putting it in the net at the other, we aren't doing either well enough at the moment" (maybe not verbatim) - absolute football genius, I'm glad he pointed that out to me, I was struggling to figure the game out!

Lets face it 90% of what comes out of the mouths of 90% of managers is cliche ....
