Loan watch!

Post by 1964white »

  • Ideguchi scores on his debut and has 84% pass completion. Looks like the player we thought we'd bough
  • Lassoga (Not on loan) 9 minute hat trick means 7 goals in 5 games.
  • Wilkes scores again for Donny and also gets an assist for Coppinger and he was MOM again
  • O'Kane out for the season and will be doing recuperation back at TA after his operation yesterday.
  • Coyle another good shift in a 1-1 draw
  • O'Connor not in the Blackpool squad for the loss away.
  • Denton still not in squad for peterborough but could be injured
  • Kitching is having another great season for Harrogate and featured strongly in the 2-0 win
  • Grot subbed off after 64 minutes for Venlo he had 1 shot and a 78% pass completion
  • Sacko not in Las Palmas squad
  • Cibicki plays tonight for Molde'
  • LDB was subbed off after 75mins and the team lost 1-0
  • Ekuban plays tonight
  • Anita came on when the team were 2-0 down but helped to get a 2-2 draw.

I slagged off Lassoga when he was here but that was harsh, it was a TC issue all along for me with lack of conditioning and poor tactical nous. By the time Heck was appointed Lassoga was done, as were a number of players ..

Lassoga was/is a natural finisher, no doubt about it, but he was never in shape here, and the fault for that must lie with the manager/coach. TC had some nice ideas, but was weak and lacked bottle. Heck was just crap

It is a shame about lasogga as I thought he had 2 feet and was decent in the air. Extra fitness pre season and we may have saved a few bob NOT buying injury prone Bamford. He scored 10 in 30 (many sub apps) in a side finishing below half of the table

Sounds like a few are doing well and some are beginning to show their potential.

I liked Lasogga but felt he needed to be in a team playing to his strengths and for much of his time with us you could see his frustration, leading to disinterest. When the likes of Pablo and Saiz were linking up with him you could see that he had a good footballing brain. Not sure he would have fitted into Bielsa's system (or TC's for that matter, or even Heck's) as he isn't mobile enough to perform as part of the high press and as such would likely have been the broken link that stopped the machine working as to press effectively needs everyone in the team doing it.

Lassogga not scored in the last four games either. As we saw he's a purple patch player!

I get the feeling our Loan Outs may not be missed much - if we can sell them on that is.

Lewie Coyle is the best of the lot, hope the young lad returns to Leeds

I'm surprised Bielsa allowed him to go on loan this season

I was disappointed at that Leon but, after 'discovering' Alioski (again) I'm not so sad that we've got yet another workable switch, with potentially better results.
All this angst about players not being available may yet be our salvation. after the New Year.

Our loan players this week:

Wilkes was subbed off on 58 minutes
Denton for the first time this season got the nod and reports say he had a great game, long time coming keep it up.
Coyle yet again put in a full shift and played well, nothing unusual for this lad.
O'Connor was an unused sub again, so struggling to get into a poor Blackpool side.
Rey played the full 90
Kitching the 3rd of of CBs out on loan had another steady game
Grot came on in injury time
De Bock Unused sub
Sacko actually got a game for only the 5th time when he came off the bench on 76 mins
Ekuban unused sub
Anita was subbed in the 78th min
Cibicki scored again
Machuca was subbed in the 79th min
Bilboa was an unused sub
Bouy came off the bench in the 65th min
Male had no game this weekend
Sarkic came off the bench on 75 mins
ideguchi injured
O'Kane injured

So yet again it looks like Coyle & Denton are the pick of the bunch along with Kitching again, but good to see Tyler Denton get a game and hope this is the turning point. The rest look like the **** we saw last season besides the kids like Rey, Bilboa etc who are learning their trade.

Ex-Leeds

Doukara also scored again in Turkey
Lasogga - 10 goals in last 12 games

Speculated signing

Prijavic scored again tonight to put his team top of the league unbeaten

Wonder where we would be if Lasogga had replaced Roofe when injured?
I still think his goal ration wasnt bad considering

I got shot down for saying Lasogga was a good striker last season. Definitely believe he would get 20+ this season if he was still here.

I tend to agree with you SG90. I still think he would/could pair up with a quicker striker and do some damage

We had him on loan with his wages, I think, semi paid for ....Do you think he'd have signed a much smaller contract and been cheap enough for a player that either couldn't be asked to play for us or was just plain lazy while here. His movement was null, has that changed?

Do you think his work rate would come close to what MB demands ?

And it's been a long time since we played 2 up front other than chasing games

6 goals & 2 assists in 10 games for Roofe whose movement & pace is much better than the lumbering Lasogga
