Should the assist be credited to Elmohamady as he headed a poor cross straight into the path of Roofe rather than clearing it for a corner

Any updates? That side-by-side results one is really satisfying.

Are the stats with lots if points the motm points from on here? Thought they might be total minutes initially.

Scratch that, it was showing as unread on the index, but I can see them now.

Good to know we can equal the record for highest points total still relegated.

Think it was Cooper who headed across to Phillips.

Looking good to kick on from here and far exceed last year's takings.

Dallas started out as a left mid, and I believe that's where Wilks played a large portion of the season for Donny. Also reckon Hernandez might be mainly used centrally unless we find a Saiz replacement.

Shows how big the playing staff actually is when you take into account pro deals at u23.

Bold are the ones I think might be gone permanently, italics for loans...

Maybe this needs it's own rolling thread?

That's because we have concentrated more effort on our U23's than the first-team sqaud

Also goes to show our squad is littered with average/rubbish individuals not good enough for a promotion challenge

Around 35 of those players never made into our first-team, they were either unavailable, too young or just so poor to be considered

Did we not mount a promotion challenge this season?

Absolutely nothing wrong with investing in youth. If 4 or 5 step up within a couple if seasons to become first team regulars (which looks possible), then the tactic has been a success.

I wouldn't say 35 never/will never made it. For a lot of them it's their first year in the 23s or have only just joined (Bogusz, who City were after, for example...). You can't play everyone in the first team!

Coyle, Denton and O'Connor look unlikely to make an impact now and I reckon that Coyle at least will get a move considering his two excellent seasons at Fleetwood.

I think we'll be in the vanguard in the way football clubs are run sometime soon, if we don't cow tow to public opinion and try to buy promotion.

We did mount a challenge but because we weren't good enough we failed miserably in the end

Would have been nice to sign a couple of decent players for the first-team who were capable making the difference between success & failure

Their are a lot of dead-legs in our squad such as De Bock, O'Kane, Cibricki, etc that need weeding out. I have no quibble with the youngsters who will hopefully progress into the first-team

All three were touted for big futures at ER, looking unlikely now

Also - Very important to note that academy signings dont go against FFP - So its a tactic that alot of championship clubs are going to have to start using in the next few season i think.
