Hi Folks

Leeds kick off their first home game of 2019 welcoming promotion hopefuls Derby County to Elland Road.

Following an immaculate pre Christmas record , the wheels have somewhat come off Bielsa's side with a hat trick of consecutive losses, albeit being knocked out of the FA Cup fielding a far weakened team.

Surely, we can't have gone from invincible to vulnerable over the space of less than two weeks. Individual errors and penalty decisions have cost us greatly in recent games, let's hope these errors can be put to one side.

Leeds will be boosted by the news that Captain Liam Cooper is fit to start following his run-out (60mins) for the under-23s on Monday night. With Phillips suspended, this news could not have come at a better time.

Derby will be without on loan starlet Harry Wilson. The on loan youngster has scored 9 times in 21 appearances for the Rams.

What a shame we couldn't bag Wilson pre season!!!

Pablo only 50-50 for this one, according to Bielsa's presser today.

5 of the starting lineup vs Derby back in August either 100% certainly wont play on Friday or have a very slim chance.

2 of the 3 substitutes used that day are definitely out.

Thats sobering.

Hernandez (may play but i doubt it).

Saiz, Philips, Douglas, Berardi all started that day as did Pablo.

Bamford and Baker came off the bench (as did Shacks).

And Dallas to is out.

We been riding our luck with this small squad, its starting to bite us in the ass.

Welcome back Ell

Derby have been scoring a few of late, we've been conceding as many. Really need to tighten things up for this, Pablo and Phillips will be a big miss.
We'll do well to get 3 points out of this with what we have to choose from.

I would go with :

...............................Peacock-Farrell................................

Ayling.......Jansson.......Forshaw.......Cooper......Pearce

...........Alioski......Shackleton......Klich......Roberts.........

......................................Roofe..........................................

Jack Clarke to come on in the 2nd half

At least the back five + BPF are all 6ft or over

. . . . . . . . . .BPF . . . . . . . . . . .
Ailing. .Jans . . .coops . . . Ali

. . . . . . . .Forshaw . . . . . . .

Harrison. Klich. Roberts .Clarke.

. . . . . . . Roofe . . . . . . . . .

Kun, Halme, Huffer, Odour, Shacks, Davis, Edmondson.

Thought Pearce but i dont think Bielsa rates him. And i think Ali would be a great left back and would support Clarke really well with his energy.

MB has already said Roberts will replace Pablo so the midfield 2 are set as is most of the team imo.

I hope we play Clarke and Harrison inverted, it baffles me why we play natural wingers.

Harrison rarely plays the full 90 minutes because he is poor. Clarke won't last the 90 minutes, both are not great assisting their full-backs

Ali playing well on the right flank of late

I really hope we don;t make it 3 league losses in a row. Hopefully Derby come and try play football because it has the makings of a good game.

We have a few guys out injured but with the rest that most of the first teamers got this week we should be too fit for Derby.

We do struggle without Pablo though - I'd take a draw now.

It seems we get one back from injury and another one goes down with injury. It's like they're taking it in turns :(
